My pickup truck came with a pair of LED spotlights to illuminate the bed. When powered on one briefly illuminated and then started flickering, and the other just flickered immediately but not as bright as the other. Are LED lamps prone to this kind of failure, or could it be corroded wiring etc?
I cant see any obvious branding so lets assume ebay specials.

Probably the driver. It'll have gotten wet, overheated, used, etc whatever. Probably cheap junk.

I just put an LED headlight bulb in my bike and It flickers if the connection isn't good, so worth checking everything before condemning them.

If it is a chinese one, and cleaning it doesn't work, what usually happens is they overdrive the LED, making the driver itself overheat, and causes this flickering.

If that's in reference to my post, the bulb itself is the best I could get (and the most expensive!) The bulb holder however is rubbish vintage British made tat 😂 The lights bfand new and only been illuminated for about 5 mins. It flickered a couple of times when turningnit on. Resetting the bulb holder solved it though.
