as title says: one of my 62 Cortinas has the front seats missing, in fact some numpty replaced them for black MK2 seats. long shot i know, as i only want the "shiny" ones that only very early cars had (see pic of rear seat). as i m in UK from time to time, i m also prepared to travel. cash waiting or would also do a swap / part-x-change for any other Cortina part i might have (a couple of bench seats for example, or anything else as i ve broken some cars before. please drop me a pm if you can help.  |

Is it worth contacting one of the upholsterers (Aldridge??) to see how much a pair of covers would be? I know they'd still be MK2, and probably £££££££s, but like you say, they're pretty rare now 🙄

in case i won t be lucky -i´ll keep this option in mind. ve been to Aldridges a couple of yrs ago, they were very frriendly and lead me round their workshop as well.
i think certain other Fords of that era (Zodiacs, Classics etc) had this kind of trim as well?

a long shot i know, but still wanted and prepared to travel-should be over in september latest. i have all the parts (even the rare lhd throttle linkage from a 62scrapper) and could start with the resto any time. cash waiting or if you are looking for any rare Cortina or Ford part could do a swap/p-x-change as well.   |
