Just caught up with this. Looking good so far (for a classic LOL)
Lol, I cant see past the looks of a classic, must be my generation (old age more like).
That said, bugs seem to be tremendous value right now. Classics seem to be on that JDM rise again as they hit actual classic status, but for sure the bang for buck on bugs makes them the ones to be looking at for a punt these days!!
Car passed an MOT with ease, always a good feeling. However a decent driver is still a long way off. Given all the welding and rough graft to date, I took some time out to make the inside a nicer place to be with some obvious wins.
Added to that, it needs to not be a police magnet. A car may have an MOT but looking like a bag of death will just make you a magnet for a tug. So we made the car a little less rough looking...
I am sorry to see that doing the plugs is no easier from beneath. It's no wonder scoobys have knackered plugs, it's such a pig of a job, even on an N/A. I've managed it once on the WRX so far.
I've a new ally radiator to fit to mine soon, just trying to get fitter after major surgery just before Christmas, but can't put it off much longer - coolant is weeping from the top where the plastic bit is crimped to the core (I think). Recently had to change the header tank for a later plastic one when the return pipe to the rad let go pretty spectacularly when I got home a few weeks ago.
Half expected to see you and the Scooby outside 'Spoons Perth on Saturday - some of the so-called classic cars could have made room for the Scooby. We had the wife's Legacy otherwise I'd have muscled mine in LOL
