Just a curious question.
Why has Retro Rides always been on a Sunday?
Was there ever any thoughts to it being a Saturday and perhaps camping after the show until the Sunday
Just wondering.

Because car shows on Saturdays are notoriously poorly attended.
We've tried it.
Motorsport fares a bit better.

Socialising/Drinking with your mates Friday and Saturday then car show to wind down Sunday is a fairly traditional way car shows run. Works great.

Hi, Some people work overtime on a Saturday or do other family stuff, leaving Sunday free to drag take the missus and kids to the car show.

The weekend car shows I've been to have always been:
open Friday afternoon, and have a social in the evening
Do car related stuff on Saturday - cruise somewhere for lunch, take over a village fete, go to the beach, museum, driving games, tug of war with clubs against a beach buggy, etc Have as big a party as you can manage in the evening
Sunday is public show day: abandon the car on the show field and nurse your hangover Finish the show with prize giving and giveaway stuff. Pack up and leave
Small Saturday-only shows tend to be a lot smaller than you hoped for...
