Really cool bit of kit;
Genuine 1972 Mexico 1600 on the logbook (v5 present) with only 6 previous owners.
Tons of paperwork - massive folder full of receipts, invoices etc.
Just been sent to a rolling-road.
Zetec RWD conversion.
Lots of spares in the boot, and new full 'Mexico' decals kit.
Been built as a rally/ track car, so some tasteful and expensive mods; Full roll cage Original 6 dial clocks Minimal wiring, with switch panel, push-button start and cut off switch. Battery re-located to boot. New fuel cell in the boot. Nice set of bucket seats and full harnesses. Nice quick release steering wheel. Fire extinguisher fitted. Plexi glass door windows. The list goes on.....
Fortunes spent on the suspension and running gear alone.
Rock solid shell, bubble arches, straight and decent. The paintwork is good and presentable from 10 foot away, but up close its flat in places, some slight overspray, odd few scratches under the paint from poor prep. But as a rally car its a great paint job, as a 'show' car it would benefit from a flat down and a fresh top coat. I may be being picky here, but will let the photos do the talking.
Mechanically speaking, its on the button, start up straightaway, idles nice, runs and drives nice, very quick and light car now.
Looks like a few niggly bits to finish off to get it on the road, tracking to be set up, general check over, and then I would just put it in for an MOT and see how it goes to be honest. (Although it is of the age where its MOT and Tax exempt of course).
I have a nice set of 8j x 13 brand new Minilites included, just about to order up a set of tyres and fit those. The Saxo alloys don't do the car justice, or fill the arches! Although look in decent condition with almost new tyres from the looks.
Great car for the money, real bargain, but I need to free up some space and got a new project on the way...
Thanks, Matt

If this doesn't go quick the I will be finishing the bits, MOT'ing the car, and then up'ing the price.

Just put it through an MOT yesterday, (30/07/2021) so has a full 12 moths on it.
Brand new wheels fitted, with brand new tyres on.
Very tidy example for the money, need gone ASAP.
I will let the photos do the talking...

Sold this on eBay- typical case of an idiot winning it on auction, then 3 days after the purchase, messaging me to inform me that he had no intentions of buying the car. eBay really need to sort this out now, it happens far too often. He set out to waste my time and money. But rant over, just sold on another site, pending final payment and collection. Thanks, Matt
