Welcome to this advert for our 1985 Island Plastics (Romahome) Romini micro caravan. Located in Bristol, SOLD
This thing is RR Gathering sliced and fried gold. No more air mattresses and damp tents!
If you are looking for ideal first caravan, have a basic B class car license, or are someone looking to get away easily for a weekend without using a tent, this little caravan is for you. Easy to store and tow, it's the size of a medium trailer.
The van is entirely fibreglass, laid up in two parts and then jointed at the belt-line so no leaks, no possible water ingress, and no timber ANYWHERE other than the seat bases making this a brilliant caravan to own in terms of it's longevity. You will never have a soft floor corner or bowing wall. All windows are double glazed, with 2 of the 4 being openers, and it stays lovely and warm inside.
Space is well utilized inside with an ample double bed across the van and the dinette seating 4 adults. The van cleverly has a full length hanging wardrobe built behind the sink unit allowing clothes to be hung away with ample further storage in cupboards above and below the hob, with a large larder cupboard below the sink, lockers above the bed/seating area and a pair of huge lockers under the seats.
The van features entirely 12V low-consumption LED and tube lighting throughout, with a mains hookup with on-board battery smart-charger. A 240V 'caravan' extension strip is fitted to the side of the locker with all plugs present ready to use, although we have never needed to use them. A 12V cigarette lighter socket is located in the electrical cupboard for phone and tablet charging. The van comes with it's battery and 2 gas bottles, ready to use.
Also included in the sale but not pictured is the Romini-specific awning that goes on the back of the van doubling your space.
The van has been well looked after in my ownership, it's had 2 new tires in May as well as a brake and bearing service and it tows excellently. It's had a replacement Fiamma skylight, in a modern metric size as the original was brittle and cracked when I bought the van. It has had new decals applied so it looks bright and fresh. There are a few blemishes on the body, which have been touched in with gelcoat repair in the correct colour. This will be included along with spare stripe material.
The van will have had a replacement jockey wheel as the one pictured is at the end of it's life and I thought I'd treat her to a new one.
Please don't hesitate to ask any questions or to arrange a viewing. Delivery possible, message to discuss.
