H ave to search for the right position of indicators, after a couple of trials i think the indicators need to be set more inside, will try first 20mm One problem: front view looks strange, the indicators are to long, proportion to the headlamps is wrong, setting more inside will cure that problem Optic looks really good with the headlight covers, for serial production i will use the clear ones, smoked look cool but are little to much for my personal taste Till now the indicators are horizontal , creates a strange look from the side, i guess 5mm lifting up at the rear is not much enough. Have to test fit different positions to get a good look from front and side view. Hope the second indicator will arrive soon. I guess about 15 mm lifting will be perfect, but how will it look from the front?

I like the phrase Grandfather E, describes my project well..... its long time ago i was in my workshop where normally do my parts, clean no dust, much better than the garage. Chrome frames arrived so i had to test fit and checking how they look on the indicator. Hope today is the last time i have that small bumper area in my hand. look nice and decent, from size they fit well, like most of this tiny parts they are a little bent from chroming. So a little work to do before they could mounted adding a little classic touch, without being to much, was not expecting to use them but changed my mind, will be a nice detail improving optical quality and look Not bad for 30.- Euro does look much more expensive ( in the real automotive world we pay for such items about 5-7 Euros a pair max) going back now in garage to implement the indicator panel and hope now last time....

could not resist to place the frame on the car before cutting out the area again. Adding a nice classic touch! takes away the little hard feeling the modern indicator creates little 3d effect is nice and not visible on that picture, now its even more important to get the correct position Indicator is nicely highlighted now, a detail improving the classic shape again Maybe helping the classic fans to accept the modern lights again

working and developing such details is my world, sometimes interesting how much tiny detail are able to change. As i always telling: Take care about details Today the spoiler cover from the Jaguar dealer will arrive, that part will allow me to exchange the middle area from the spoiler , so high curbs not detected before you hit them are not a big problem anymore. Next benefit i can use an aftermarket piece made from visible carbon with slightly cutting the part in shape

Spoiler Cover arrived now, nice shape, nice profile instead of being flat, perfect item only have to cut for correct length and ready with Little bit of expensive for that little piece of plastic but i would never get this profile in a quality like this, every surface is shaped and profiled ( and nearly everything will be covered by licence plate ) Would be endless days of sanding and shaping to create something like this, not being a flat plank makes the difference from OEM to a selfmade part not that visible (but around 150mm left and right are) , and its coming from the right company now ! only cutting to correct length i need for the CB5 makes live much easier , worth the 160 Euros spend for a piece of plastic.

Looks like today is delivery day, again bell was ringing and i had my fixings for the headlight cover in my hand. Its still not 100% clear if iam allowed to use the headlight cover, because of no e marks. Thats why i looked for a solution to remove them with 1 screw Has the benefit people can choose to drive with and next week without. Cleaning is no problem aymore, you can remove when washing the car., or going to TÃœV. Looks like iam an engineer, always looking for easy quick solutions.. can anyone tell me how to advertise pictures half size here? doesnt make that sense having always big pictures to show something.

Not sure what image hoster you are using. Using Flickr, I choose a smaller image size and copy the link from that. If you're just using the RR uploaded, if you go in to HTML mode (bottom tab under the text field) you can edit the size % of the image once it has been uploaded.
Personally I'm not sold on those indicators, I feel they are too modern looking still. I think they need to be ones with rounded corners or oval shaped overall. I also think the headlight/cover needs a chrome trim now that you have the indicator trim.
Take that as you may, it's your project and you're doing a cracking job!

Could you make the indicators 'hidden' so they're behind the body but bright enough to show through? Might help keep the lines better.

No problem, taste is something special and everyone should have his own opinion, i personally like them both, so i will do the roadster with chrome grill and round indicators, the coupe will be this way.

First i have to say, nice work it's a beautiful shape. For me the right side as viewed/steering wheel side, as it looks more correct than the other. Dan

had a sleepless night, verry early in the morning i tried again , only setting the right side 20mm back cured my problem, for me thats it. side view is nice now too only negative, i have to change now both positions again, as long as iam happy with i will start monday for my version i will not use chrome at all, so i try to paint the chrome cover to see how that will look. For vintage fans chrome will be maybe a must have, even the round indicators will be availalbe as a option if people don't like the modern ones....we will integrate both versions in the mould

Shouldn't the orange indicator portion be to the outside ? For visibility from an angle.

Black is not a colour ! .... Its the absence of colour
