I bought a decent second hand welder last year which was a bit clunky so I bought a new eBay torch/hose and it performed flawlessly, the handle is Chinese garbage with regards to the switch and quality of the plastics. The button lever either presses the gas button or the spool button, so it's a case of having to take it apart everything to adjust it so it presses both only when you press the button.
I cut it off last night as I had had enough and now looking for a euro torch conversion as buying another one of those crappy ones will just have me fixing it all the time.
I have a Snap On 2135 which is covered for parts on weldequip.com etc and has the standard 'hard wired' torch. Is this possible to upgrade?

Something like this? www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233714468328?hash=item366a77c5e8:g:d0EAAOSwuPJfYM1yChosen at random, no particular recommendation. The actual torch assemblies are easy, lots of choice, the sockets not so much. The other thing to consider is whether or not your machine has a solenoid valve to control the gas because if it doesn’t you’ll need to add one. Nick

I've looked into this myself for my Clarke te150 machine, the torch and length of lead has always been the main annoyance, and my torch is now also fairly shafted.
To echo the above though, while it's not rocket science the conversion isn't absolutely straight forward. I believe on mig welding forum there are several guides on how to do it,so a quick Google should pay dividends.

For what it's worth I bought a 'Starparts Eco 15' euro torch for my MIG and it's pretty poor quality, definitely wouldn't buy it again! The button is sticky as the plastic body of the gun has warped over time.

Yeah I don't want to buy another rubbish torch, I've followed a few on YouTube and it looks easy - I will pay good money for something that will last years

And no idea if it will work….. I have a spare torch and cable that I was going to fit on my Clarke 165 years ago, never did, bought a new 200 Amp Blackline, which died on Friday. The torch is still here, happy to post pics or WhatsApp of what it is. If you can use is and need it, it is yours and you can collect along with a brew and biccies or it can go in the post. PM me if you are interested and can use it. Yours FREE if you need it.

Yep - been there and done that - ended up fitting PWM controller to feed the motor with full beans but controlling the wire speed with pulses I ended up borrowing the torch to fit to my portamig as the one supplied (parweld) was way too hair trigger for my tastes

Weldequip wasn’t interested in supplying upgrade parts to convert to Eurotorch but another company was - I’ll see if I can dig out the details as they were really good to deal with
