BMW E30 316i Lux red 2 door coupe. 119,000 miles, £3000 ono Benfleet in Essex
Good points;
Bottle cap alloys with 4 very good condition tyres. Hounds tooth interior is in great condition. 2 door coupe. Very straight panels, no rusty arches, 2 minor dents (bonnet and boot lid), electric sunroof, electric mirrors, electric windows, power steering. Runs and drives.
Bad points;
Battery tray has rusted away although very easy and cheap to replace. Many people re locate the battery to the boot, especially if your looking to build a track day car. The 325 version of the E30 actually had the battery in the boot so panels for that are very easy to acquire. Front chin spoiler is missing. Minor dent in the bonnet (pictured) and also a small dent on the boot lid (also pictured) The drivers side rear panel is rusty and will need replacing/repairing. Not a big job and could easily be tackled by at home on the driveway. The drivers seat recliner adjuster is broken. I have all the bits that came off I just haven't got round to repairing it. The car has sat since 2012 so consequently all the suspension rubbers will need checking/replacing. The brakes work but the pedal is very low so will need bleeding through. The drivers window doesn't fully lower. The passenger window is working at all. The sunroof works though! The paintwork is tired, there is lacquer peel and there is evidence of some repairs in the past but it looks presentable. The exhaust is blowing from the rear.
This is a very straight and relatively rust free car. It's very complete and wouldn't take too much work to get through an MOT or a fantastic base to build into a trackday/drift car. Very easy project for someone. I'm not looking to swap as I need the space for another car. Will need to be collected on a trailer or recovery truck.
