1978 mk1 fiesta, 1.1, tax and mot exempt.
Up for sale is my daily driver, only reason for sale is I'm needing something a bit bigger as there's times where I've needed the space.
No serious rot, paint isn't great.
Good points;
Mk2 golf headlights fitted using xr2 backing plates. (no bezels but are readily available for about £60 a pair)
Xr2 front breaks fitted, good condition.
Xr2 shocks on outlaw 50mm springs, springs have under 1000 miles on them.
100plus alloys.
Aftermarket steering wheel and boss.
Recaroes fitted (old opel ones of some kind, not too bad condition, but I have placed some foam underneath as they sit quite low)
Saxo radiator fitted, plumbed in and all working as I was planning on going zetec.
Long life exhaust comes with the car, currently not fitted as haven't gotten around to it yet, just no time at the moment and curse word weather.
Engine runs bang on, and gearbox and linkage is nice and tight, no slop. I've driven this car daily since I've had it and have done over 100 mile trips in it too.
Bad points ;
Paint work needs attention, hasn't bothered me as I planned a respray.
There's a small hole ontop off passanger wing, smaller than a 5p.
Rear seats are torn and tatty but I have material that match the recaroes fitted, I planned on retrimming the rear seats to match the fronts.
The passanger rear arch is crusty and can see filler on it, I have a new panel that will come with the car. I never got around to fitting it as I was planning on getting mk1 golf arches fitted all around, although the other 3 arches are good.
Bottom of front valance is bit crusty also.
The seals in the brake master cylinder are on their way out and need replacing, I will be buying and replacing these at the end of the month, I can still give a road test for someone but wouldn't advise driving long distance until these are replaced.
The starter solenoid sometimes doesn't turn the starter, I've never had much of a problem with it, it will do it once every 5 times I start the the car or so but I'll mention it as being honest with the car.
Been a temp repair with fibreglass to the inside corner of the tailgate. Not on the shell, just on the tailgate itself.
Drivers wingmirror has a crack in it.
Arches could do with rolling if you go 2 up in the car as around sharp corners will scrape with a passanger.
It's not a rot box but it has been a daily so expect a few scuffs and marks here and there and a couple of patches that have been welded in the past but is a good usable mk1 fiesta.
