I’ve been keeping my eye out for a mk1 FRS for a while now, looked at a few locally which were pretty rough.
Got a message from Clayton who runs the mk1 owners club on Sat night that this had just come up for sale. It’s a quite well known car within the owners club.
Had a look through previous Mot history, it’s only ever had 2 advisories. Now that’s mental, most others I looked at had numerous fails, never mind advisories.
The car was in Torquay and I’m in East Lothian, quick google maps, 472 miles away!
After numerous calls, messages and FaceTimes I bought it.. blind.
Anyway, it arrived this morning after being transported up through the night and it is spot on. Exactly as described by the seller so I’m chuffed.
And just been for my first drive in it 😀

Cool. Plate suggests it's back 'home' now? Love a mk1 FRS.

Just realised I put this in the build thread as well. Probably should have been showcase as I won’t be doing all that much to the car to be honest.
Could admins please move it ?
Cheers

To be fair it was a Glasgow registered car but has spent most of its life down south. I bought it from Torquay. I looked at 4-5 and a few were terrible. A couple had previous corrosion on Mot history and patches on the sills already. This ones solid, only ever had one advisory. It’s been a well looked after car with stacks of history. Really enjoying it so far 👍🏼
