Ok so I had to Express my love for old toyotas (especially carina 2's with mighty 4af engines.
I had a carina 2 saloon in about 2017-18, it was one of the most fun cars I've ever owned, never broke down on my once, despite dailying it in -6°c, pulling my mates primera out of the sea (that's a whole other story), crashing it when I fell asleep at 3:30am, jumping it and i even took it to Llandaw in south wales on a track day 😂
Unfortunately it was very rusty underneath and I had other cars to sort out at the time so it got sold and is now no longer with us. So R.I.P. F646 SWS.
So in early 2020 I bought a completely standard Corolla liftback ae92, with a 4af and an auto box. I got her through an mot and the went on to modify her, more properly this time, coilovers, banded steels, laguna splitter. The idea was to buy a donor car and convert it to manual.
So end of 2020 I bought another carina 2 saloon, which is now my daily, needs a bit of work but itll be fine 🤦♂️ the Corolla belongs to the mrs as she loves the thing!! And today I'm buying another carina (I have a problem) and this one is actually going to be a donor car, I will steal all the manual bits for the corolla and everything else for my carina.
Anyways, heres a bit of a photo dump, I will update as things go. And if I can be bothered to spend hours writing I'll make a thread for random other square Japanese things I've had too 😂
