I am convinced that the Camry is one of the most reliable cars out there and your model wagon is in my books one of the better looking wagon out there.
Years ago, when we bought our first car here in Australia I had to chose between a Camry and a Magna. We bought the Magna but really liked to Camry too.

to be honest . . I never liked the look of the 80's Camrys . . but nowadays it grows on me . .

I saw the title and thought weird that one popped up in the UK, I only see them here in CH. Then I read your intro and thought, one owner from new and look at how clean that engine bay is, a bit like the retro chod I like to look for here, also very CH. My spidy senses were spot on as it goes  Interested to see what you do (and what you can get away with here) to this. Whereabouts in the country are you? eta: I'm in Hombrechtikon, Zurich btw. |

thebaronwell, looks like you have supernatural senses . . but yes, they were popular in the 80s and 90s here . . I think I saw a similar amout of those old camrys only in north america . . but most of em here are long gone - Africa bound! . . or have rotted away . . I'm located in Aarburg . . deep in white-socks- and carrot-cake-country . .

At some point when things are a little more open we should organise a small RR CH meet. Have you a timeframe for getting the Camry on the road? Also, have you a U plate or will you be looking to get the modifications through MFK? |
