Hi everyone, I’ve just found this forum surprisingly by googling the reg of my car, this is where my dad originally bought my car from back in 2013 for my 12th birthday, I found the thread and original pictures in the search results 😂. Anyway, here’s it now 7 years later in all its glory, it’s a ‘79 Datsun Cherry 120a F-II Coupe. I’m 19 now and have driven it for the past year after insurance finally got low enough. It’s got 32k miles and I’m the 3rd owner. I guess notable features are: - JDM GX edition grille, from what I know there’s only 2 of these left globally (known online) and the other one isn’t mounted on a car. - Respray in 350z Sunset Orange Candy paint with orange glitter flake - A bunch of NOS parts pretty much all over cleaning it up a lot - Straightpipe with a Cherry bomb - RGA front splitter - Datsun optioned American Racing polished steels - Some other things only a sad addict like me notice like JDM badging, interior armrest, etc pictures at the end of the post are from when I first got it, I have a few hundred from the restoration process.             |

My first car was a 1979 Datsun 140Y SDX and looked so different to yours.
Again, different models for different parts of the world.

All kinds of awesome here. I had an N10 Cherry/100a as my first car and coveted the girls PE teacher's FII Coupe as the next thing to get (which didn't go to plan and my second car was a brown Allegro "3").
