i've just got hold of a 1999 mx-5 to have some fun with over the summer then possibly use the engine in my mgb....
firstly it was cheap, yes for a reason...
basically it will start fine and after 2 or 3 times will settle into a fairly good idle but as soon as i try to rev it up to move it/go anywhere the engine just dies, if i hold the throttle down in one spot then it nearly dies altogether but then gives 1 rev before nearly dies again and continues in said fashion.
i knew it was cheap for a reason but where to start looking? i'm more used to carbs and points!!
thanks craig
