Brief history of me. I am car mad.😎😎 Owned as many as 11 cars at any one time. Escorts featured heavily as I've owned everything bar a mk4. Standard, RS, heavily modified. Admin on the Irish Escort Owners Club etc etc. But I low key always wanted a hotrod. Despite there being no rods here. In the last few years a few have started appearing thankfully. My dream would be a traditional rod based on a Model a. But a crash, injuries, money woes, curse word manager who wont give me enough days and more conspired and one day I said to my self something like "feck it I'm gonna be 50 soon so get on with it or get off the pot".....😄😄 I now own a Lincoln 5.0 V8. It's getting stripped down for a rebuild. Then I will do the matching gearbox. I need to find an output flange. Then the 8.8" axle I also bought will be fettled. This will get Model A "bones" which I have, also. When these are ready I will be gathering chassis parts. It will be a slow process. I look forward to it though.      |

I came across a fella who had cleared out a garage. He heard (God only knows where) that I was "into" Old Fords. So he gave me 4 large crates of spares that were supposed to be for old Fords. So far this is what I've sorted. One of these is a set of Ford Pop lights in very good condition. And I have found a man willing to trade them for Model A headlights.... We are meting on Wednesday.... Little more found. 1932 front spindles. Spring clamps. A pedal. And some of an F100 steering box. More to sort through and there is definitely more steering parts in that haul. A real issue here is the Police are seriously clamping down on people moving around. Issued 2000 fines in the last 4 days. So I am, to coin a phrase, staying the f**k at home. After work tomorrow I have a bit of a trade organised. Wish me luck please.       |

Well I made my own luck it seems. The trade is done and I'm thrilled. To coin a phrase, I got a pair of "perfectly sh**ty" Lucas 9" Road Kings in exchange for lights I got free 😄😄 They will be converted to H4s or even LED eventually. Completionalpercentage7% More as and when.      |

Small steps and all that but I am sure you will get there, I too will be 50 this year and was planning a trip to Vega$ to watch the NASCAR cup race, that’s not happening now because of the damn lurgy. Looking forward to see how you progress 👍

My steel came in. 2"x3"x5mm wall according to the shop  Thats the start of the chassis. I have a complete front end, from wheel to wheel to steering wheel, organised.
