Just be careful as if you don't have driven wheels on the digger at the moment then just adding hydraulic motors may not work as you expect.
Most mini differs have a three section pump, one section does the left track, one the right and the other the arm. Using one pump to do the all the actions will be problematic if it works at all.

Is it so the tracks don't slow if you want to do a "donut"? i am just interested as i do hydrolics on trucks, and still learning.

I think they do it so that each item can work independantly and therefore if one gets stuck it doesn't make the other move more/differently.
I'm by no means an expert though.

I would be cautious of this, you need to check what the digger should have and what the difference in the specs is. Things to consider are that the oil provides lubrication and cooling to the pump and also if its thicker or thinner it may affect system pressure. In theory the pressure relief valve should compenstate but i'm not entirely sure, I saw one machine where the pressure relief valve was causing issues (may have been because they were running any old hydraulic fluid in it as one of the rams was leaking badly) and it damaged the pump.
I've only every played around with a couple of diggers so i'm by no means an expert.
