I sold this on eBay recently but the buyer had to drop out as we went into the second lockdown. So if anyone's interested in this lovely piece of French tin here are the details...
This is one of my projects I've had for a couple of years and done little with for well over a year so it's time to let it go and free up some space.
Since buying this car I've fitted a fair few bits to it including 2 brand new headlights, brand new radiator, new vented front discs and pads, 306 turbo D calipers, front flexi hoses wiper blades, front wiper motor. I've also given it a engine service. The original carb was damaged so I've converted it to a weber, it now runs ok but would really need setting up properly and a suitable air filter fitting. I still have the original carb and air filter set up to go with it.
I got it to a point where I could drive it to an mot to get a list of fails to work through. I've sorted some of these bits like the missing drivers side mirror. I never got as far as working through most of it tho as other projects took over.
The main bits it needs doing are the welding it failed on. It's mostly localised small bits with the shell being pretty solid in general. The rear brakes not working are because I forgot to bleed them up after fitting the new front brakes and the front number plate wasn't on the front bumper (there is a brand new one with the car).
The interior is in decent condition and doesn't fit in with the 250k shown on the clocks. The only thing showing any real signs of wear is the gear nob which is a bit broken. The car has been off the road for around 25 years which also makes the shown mileage a little questionable.
The paint is tired but the body work is pretty straight bar the needed rust repairs. The car also seems to still have all of the original GTX parts including the alloys.
All in all its a very worthy project which will be a very rare car once done. It has no battery but I do have one to put on it so the buyer can see it running.
I have more photos and will upload them if there's any interest
