Some people might not understand this, but I bought a car I've loved since I was young, and sold it (well swapped it) within a month. The car in question, a classic Saab 900 (1992). Fabulously quirky, well built and a real head-turner. I ended up with it as I decided I needed an auto as a daily driver, due to the clutch on my ZT-T being rather too heavy for my slightly knackered left foot to deal with regularly. I was offered the 900, an auto, and I jumped at the chance...  It didn't take me long to realise the 3 speed auto box was sapping all the fun out of my ownership. Fuel consumption was terrible around the doors, and on a run too for obvious reasons. The guy who sold me it has a bit of a fleet, and we got talking about how I wasn't getting on with the 900, whereupon he offered to take it back as a straight swap for his 1989 9000. Now that one didn't take much thinking about.... Like the Tomcat, Stanza and V70, the 9000 is a car I've had before, loved, regretted selling and promised myself another at some point if a good one came up. Next to my other big Swede...       I've got some pics of the engine bay, but Imgur is on a go slow. Things to sort.... not that many really. A full service, tidy up the headlining, and somehow sort that rear backflash panel. |

Nice! Clutch light enough for you as it is not an automatic? Thom Yes mate, clutch is nice and light, but the V70 is auto and gives my dodgy left foot a break most of the week |
