Always a classy hardtop, without trying to look pseudo sporty.

Nice! I hadn't seen a coupe version before. Is there lots of mx5 conversions to these or is it new ground?

Really like them, something different too. A Mazda 2.5 V6 would be nice in it.
Bookmarked.

One of my schoolmate's Dad ran the local Mazda dealership; these cars were brilliant in the day, just the usual tinworm self-destruct did its worst. He put away an RX2 for 'later on' - when they retrieved it, from their old paint shop, it fell apart.....

The mx5 engine will if i remember right bolt straight up to the montrose gearbox as they share the same front casing the engine transforms the car but it does involve a rack conversion

started doing the clutch last weekend, easy to do,but a pain, the bolts are behind the engine couldent get socket in or rachet spanner, had use ring spanner.some were tight anyway got it out and starter was near the top off the engine that was fun and bagged and tagged bolts sad git I know, pressure plates had to take in work get fitter drill holes out bigger,to small for dowls on the flywheel, but they were there,so was going finsh it this weekend but its snowing,so leave it fight another day,and the floor off the car is very clean never been touched so might underseal it while gearbox is out, unreal J car never seen wielder,my m8 says clutch I took out was someone rideing the clutch was bit worn,

Great to see this car still in Great condition. It used to live down our road and I know the guy who used to own it, it was his pride and joy till he took ill.
