After a change of circumstance , and a lot of of personal debate I have decided I need to sell the Lancia Beta Volumex.
The car is all original and complete but is a near enough a full restoration. The engine does run but the pump doesn't kick in off the key. I haven't yet got around to bypassing and fault finding this, but it should be a fairly simple fix, and there is some comments on the car's thread (link below) for things to try.
The bodywork is where the attention is needed. The car was hit by another car whilst stationary which is why my uncle bought it. The car is however straight, and there is no evidence of damage that i can see. The panel that was damaged was the rear panel which holds the lights. as can be seen in the thread for the car, this panel is quite rotten. there is however a complete spare panel in good condition form another Coupe which will be a perfect replacement as well as a new unused lower valance. Where the rear panel meets the boot floor is a rot hole that needs patching too. This rot may indeed have come about because of the damage. The sills also need replacing, as well as one rear arch is getting quite bad and the valances. The doors require rebuilding at the bottom half, or replacing, and the inner door shut on the nearside needs patching too. There are a number of panels now available by Betaboyz for this.
I have found it difficult to value this car, the Volumex unit alone sells for in excess of £1000 the rare time they are for sale www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fiat-124-Spider-Europa-Pininfarina-Volumex-Compressor-Supercharger/233668572290?hash=item3667bb7482:g:gvcAAOSwrP9fJxTj and there are fully restored Beta Volumexes for sale for £30k. I found this car that sold two years ago which in my opinion is in worse condition than mine, and had a seized engine, for £4300. www.ebay.ie/itm/LANCIA-BETA-VOLUMEX-VX-COUPE-SUPERCHARGED-BARN-FIND-FOR-RESTORATION-/253072145385 so think if i priced mine slightly below it is a good price point.
As mentioned, the car's thread is full of information and pictures of the car. Contact me anytime if you have any questions on here or my number is 07926074832. Viewing of the car is also welcome. I am also happy to deliver the car for petrol money should it be cheaper and easier than arranging transportation.

I was looking forward to both restoring and driving this car. She will be stunning when done, and is a real investment piece even, and I am sure will be a joy to own and drive.
