	Awww shucks. I've gorn all red now. Seriously though, thanks for the positive comments. Dan, I wouldn't think twice about selling you another car either lol. Now then pistonbroke Dave, can I interest you in a CR-V? One little old lady from new etc. etc. It has been a lot of years mate, we worked together for 16 of 'em. Anyhow, I won't bung up Dan's thread any longer.

	Glad you bought that W202 Dan as every time I came on here I was looking at it. if it hadn't been down the other end of the country... Another nice looking Merc. I really wish I hadn't sold my W202 c250td. By far one of my better cars. The C220 and C200 (both w202) were good cars but the c250td was the better by far. Tetleysmooth I sold a W202 to buy a CRV, very similar to yours and the same colour, as a in-between car while I decided what I really wanted. Six years later the CRV is still here as it just does everything so well. Pretty much perfect family duty hack about. Only downside to the CRV is its drinking around town is a little heavy but other than that another good car.

	Yep I’d agree my 250TD was the best car I’ve ever owned, again I wish we had kept it

	On another note with this car the mot history shows various corrosion warnings by the mot tester I’ve had that car up in the air this afternoon ten minutes wire brushing and absolutely NO corrosion Some mot testers these days feel the need to put something down I’m sure, it says corrosion to the suspension arms..no there’s not after light wire brushing, and corroded coil springs...absolute tosh they are not corroded in the slightest Anyhow I’ve fully vactan treated the underside it’s now protected for a good few years

	Now that you have been over it have you found anything wrong with it rust wise? What about the interior, and wear on the drivers bolster etc? Any service items needing replaced?

No wear on the bolster Rust on lower nearside door , a few bits on wings and a couple more spots elsewhere The car was serviced just before I bought it new oil all new filters , result! I have no more plans other than just use it for the winter And buy a minter early springtime I need to do more suspension work on our escort van over the winter ready for next years shows....and as with all my cars if i get offered a price after a few months it’ll go! I just can’t help myself...

	I do have a liking for pressed steel plates. So much better than some of the horrid plastic plates. Your ex C250 looks very much like my old c250 Dan. I have been looking on ebay at W202 & there is a white C280 that if it wasn't the other end of the country I get the feeling it would be mine. Quite strong money but looks like a really tidy low mileage example & the interior colour is very much marmite colour. Silly money though. I really miss my C class & as much as our current car is a really good car there is something about the merc W202's.

	Yep 👍 agree I’ve owned over 500 cars in my life so far But the W202 TD was the best allround car Only car I’ve kept more than a year, we owned it for seven years in total , it was better than all the modern cars we’ve had too 10k is too trumpy though !!!

	I will get another W202 C class at some point without much doubt but need to get the current car sorted & done first so I don't have so many projects on the go at once.

	As usual with old Mercs nothing really to report on this one , just goes about it’s business with ease and no fuss, I use it everyday to get to work and runabout in it at weekends as I drive a manual all day at work , the auto is just a joy to drive, unhurried and lazy driving suits me fine .
