Slip-jointed Full Exhaust System (sounds great!)
All handmade by the artisans at Alunox (Wrexham)
Sounds immense!!
Emissions Control recirculation equipment removed and blanked off
(2TU engine included Californian style emissions control – minor power sap so removed to gain a little HP)
Air Conditioning pump still there
All parts removed have been kept should you want to reinstate
Brakes
New rear shoes (on drums)
Full flush and replace of Dot 3 Brake Fluid
New front pads and refurb of calipers
Stops really well now!
Steering
New Pitman Arm installed
New track rod end
New Grant Steering wheel fitting (horn works too)
Old one still in hand if you want to reinstate
Interior
New Securon seatbelts throughout (old ones still in-hand if needed)
Inc new bolts, washers etc
Headlining removed and recovered in Harris Tweed
Rear Parcel Shelf amended for new seatbelt
Parcel Shelf covered in Harris Tweed
Seats need a bit of TLC but all original and intact
New Speakers fitted (Alpine I think?) original radio retained
Bodywork
Very clean underneath
Dinitrol underseal used throughout inc into sill channels etc
Body work has some filler esp to the rear but not terrible
Front has had a bit of curse word respray before I had it and its delaminated on the wings
Metal is solid though and I’ve added the vinyl stripes as a short term measure to protect it
Ideally needs removing and a decent respray to sort it well
Original colour from under the seats etc seems to have been a moss green
The blue respray was undertaken a long time ago though back in Japan
Lower sill chrome trim removed, bodywork smoothed and painted black
Wheels
Unknown brand Alloys
New Toyota Centre caps I had made
Mixed tyres but decent brands Michelin etc and decent tread levels left
Fuel System
Fuel tank removed, cleaned and resealed with Rustbuster Slosh Epoxy Tank Sealer
Pickup pipes replaced and new seals fitted before reinstalling
All rubber connections replaced (hard lines cleaned and retained)
New Malpassi Glass fuel filter
Bypass system installed to reduce heat soak into fuel lines
Issues
To be open, honest and transparent there are a few – well it is 40+ years old!?
Bodywork needs a bit of attention to sort the areas of filler paint etc but largely solid – looks great and turns heads as it is though!
Few small areas of damaged paint/minor rust coming through but nothing major
Interior needs some work to finish what I’ve started with the Harris Tweed – recover seats, new carpet etc
Starts well but only after a bit of cranking on the starter – gone through everything fuel, spark etc and accepted its just a quirk of the car
Needs new rubbers to windows etc (boot has been replaced with new)
Needs ideally polybushes all round to really tighten everything up…
Bumpers have had a few repairs by previous owner and need redoing really
Radiator has a minor leak
Any questions, please let me know.
I’ve probably forgotten loads so please ask!
Viewings welcome!
Test drives possible if we’re masked up and I’m driving.
I can spray it all down with antibac etc first to
You can drive if I have the full asking price in cash in my hand first
Serious enquiries only please!
Otherwise good luck and thanks for looking.
