Hi all, for sale is my 1970 Datsun 510 Bluebird
A bit of a boring backstory:
The car was offered to me during the lockdown, it had been off the road and dry stored in a garage for a number of years. It was rescued and I was hoping it wouldn't need too much so could be enjoyed through the summer. Unfortunately that wasn't the case and between sourcing parts to get it running, fixing things and work I've only driven it twice.
The Good:
* Tax and Mot exempt due to being a historic vehicle.
* Genuine UK car (not an import), still has the dealer sticker on the car!
* Right hand drive obviously
* 40k miles
* Original blue tinted glass
* Complete original interior with optional front seatbelts
* Genuine wooden Nardi steering wheel (original Datuns steering wheel included)
* Incredible patina all over
* Front brake calipers have been stripped and rebuilt
* New brake pads
* New height adjustable front and rear coilovers
* Tein adjustable front top mounts
* Genuine Work Equip 01 14" wheels
* New pirelli tyres
* Rebuilt Hitachi carb
* Newly serviced engine with new silicone HT leads
* New Exedy battery
* Fuel tank removed, fuel lines cleared and everything flushed through
* Deluxe model
The bad:
* Dent in rear drivers door (can be easily popped back out).
* Passenger wing as had a poor repair back in the day (brand new wings included).
* The car has some previous visually poor repairs where the rear doors meet the rear arches - door shuts are still perfect.
* Along with the aforementioned repairs, it had a pony respray/blow in.
* Bumpers either need rechroming or replacing
In short, the car now starts effortlessly and drives. Holds temperature fine, brakes work, clutch works, electrics work. Windows go up and down, doors lock... all the basics you can expect from a car which is half a century old.
It comes with 2 sets of keys, original spare wheels, jack, and tools.
There are some spare parts included and 2 BRAND NEW Futofab front wings.
Despite the patina and surface rust (if that's not your thing), the underneath is very solid and in good stead. The panel gaps are spot on and overall is a great survivor.
I'm located in Hertfordshire SG4 (near Hitchin), I appreciate that not everyone likes or has the ability to travel to view cars so I am happy to video call and walk you around the vehicle virtually. I can also assist with organising delivery anywhere in the UK.
I am asking £10k or very near offers for this old girl. I'll only further discuss a price to those who are genuinely interested and in a position to buy. I don't want to take anything in part exchange or swaps. If you need to sell your car first before buying this, best to get that done before trying to buy this. Thanks for reading and I'll post some more pictures up shortly. I'd really like this to go to someone who will love it for what it is
