Hello David, I'm sure you'll get some expert advice shortly but in the meantime, use the search button at the top of the page for om606 etc and you'll find lots of interesting threads to be going on with. A few people here have done this ckind of onversion or owned similar cars. For example: forum.retro-rides.org/thread/199930/1989-mercedes-w124-superturbodiesel Good luck!

Holset's from cummins engines are common. 3- No, the 5 speed will not handle it. Even the dogleg box will die very quickly. Six speed CDI gearbox, BMW conversion, or auto are your options. Decide what you want to achieve, then you can work out what parts you need.

carat 3.6 and jem45 thank you for replying and helping with information . Do you think the pump on a w124 1994 will be ok to install a 7.5mm element kit . I'm also considering a w210 1198 almost the same price as w124 . what do you think will be better ?

I'm also considering a w210 1198 almost the same price as w124 . what do you think will be better ? You will need to fit a w124 pump to whatever car you use, so it makes sense to start with one. The w210 has alot more electronics than the the w124, so is harder to work with in some areas. Despite what people will tell you they rust about the same, the w124 just hides it better. The car most suited to be a superturbo is actually a w202, so don't discount those from your search.
