I literally cut the wing off and had to make my own new, narrower wing to graft on. It looks like your arch extensions stick out from a flat panel, so slice off and make good. Your shell has nice flat sides and angles ,so much easier to repair where you cut off the unwanted bits. Very brave. Not sure I would just do that. But who knows. Currently I have black vinyl in mind to visually reduce the way the arches protrude. But wheels will still need to be there.

I like simples I told you I was watching your thread, so much so I decided to get back on here [/quote] Good to see you back Ernie. Thanks for posting up your Rocket. Surprised it’s in storage, rather than on display somewhere.

Clever wheel guys....
Question time, and a riddle.
What is the stud pattern of these ?
Tyre that was on them was a 245 50 16
5 studs Approximate measurements stud centre to next stud centre 7cm stud centre to hub centre 6cm
No stamps that i can see. As accurately as i can with a tape measure, the stud holes are 1.6cm. The inner rim width is 21.5cm and the central hole is 7.7cm
Thanks.

Sounds like BMW/Chevy/Jag 5x120PCD to me Sounds like it. I love the look of them but as mentioned by Paul Y once you add adapters, tyres etc, it is a cost;y, if pretty pile.

Another option that might work out well cost wise, is to find a set of alloys that were for a Pilgrim Sumo kitcar. They were/are Ford Cortina/ Sierra based so 4x108PCD (they also did a Granada based Cobra replica), but I don't know if they are a good fitt width and offset wise for your Eagle RV body and the style suits you.

Worth posting. Always someone who knows someone or something. Was over at a nearby neighbor today who is building this replica. A different type of Rezin Rocker. He is looking for a lens with 8 1/8th inch diameter and 3” bubble. Made by Stabilite brand. To fit this holder. ivanhoew May have a lead ...... If you can help or know someone, please send me a PM. Thank you.

The ones on Google look lovely. I do suspect they will be expensive though.

What about Suzuki Vitara Fatboy wheels. They are the wrong PCD, but nothing a good hub convertor couldn't sort. 8x15 or 10.5x15, usually running 235/60x15 tyres or bigger.

Looks like an auburn. Very nice It will be good once done. He has made a load of stainless, and chromed trim parts for it. Upholstered, dash shaped and covered in leather. A real learning guy. In Red is should be rather good.

Funny how the little things make a difference DVLA has been hit by Covid as much as any other government body. And because the seller had lost his V5c document in a house move it cost me £25.00 by cheque and a paper written application to get it re-issued to me. This process takes even longer. I did not want to spend too much on the Rezin Rockit before paperwork was also in order. Well............ Interesting to note it is down as a 4x4 and also it’s gross mass. If only the carport guy (whom I texted this morning again) would come and get the steel structure up so I can get the roof done. Onwards.

Well....
V5c arrived.
Just tried to do a SORN
System refused as previous owner has not yet informed DVLA of change of ownership
There was no paperwork from previous owner, and I stated this when I submitted application.
Now what do I do ?

From GOV.UK .... "You can make a SORN online or by phoning 0300 123 4321 if you’re registered as the vehicle’s keeper. If you’re not yet registered as the vehicle’s keeper, you must make a SORN by post using a V890 form. Please fill in the appropriate part of the V5C and send it with the V890." ... or leave it a couple of days for the systems to 'catch up'

I had my new v5 in 3 days from changing reg number on my car - in the middle of full lockdown! Thanks guys. Just redid it, interestingly, It did not recognise the Q-Plate the first time. So I logged out, and started again, then it warned me the last time the car was taxed was 2001 which is obviously when it came off the road. And that one can be held liable for arrears road tax. Anyway.... I hit the “ Make SORN” button and it is now so. Hopefully just some systemic glitch. PS: Now with it on my name and on SORN, plus imminent carport and roofing, we may see some stuff getting done, bought, thought through, sworn at......... After all, its almost winter and when Paul Y recovers, it should be below 6’C which is his time to come out of hibernation.
