message from my chum who's workshop my TH400 box is sitting in... Here's one for your forum mates - should the Low roller clutch (sprag) freewheel clockwise or anticlockwise? The manual is very informative about the other sprag but neglects to mention which way the one you buggered up should turn - & I can't remember which way it went before I took it out.Plonker.
Anyone shed any light Ta

No. Now ask me one on sport.
Is this chum Paul by the way? Ask Andy Frost would be my advice.

low roller clutch can only go in the hub one way. It's fairly obvious when you try to put it in there.....

Cheers Andy. Its the 1965 early type which is dog bone sprag not the later "straveller colar" looking thing. (You'll notice I have all the proper tech terms down now...) it does look like it might fit either way. EDIT: mines the one on the right

cheers Andy, we're putting it all back together this afternon, hopefully.
I'd misread your first reply anyway!
I think I've learned my lesson about high RPM neutral drops in heavy cars on dry surfaces...
I think.
