During the 'lockdown' I recently purchased one of these, I have always had a soft spot for one, and they are rare as hens teeth, so after loosing a few auctions on eBay to complete rot boxes over the last couple of years, I was amazed when I won the bid on this one for less than I expected! A day or so later it had left York, and arrived in my yard in Hertfordshire. I had a quick poke around and took a few pics before tucking it away in a shed untill I get time to get it in the workshop and start work.
Its pretty solid overall realy, the valances need work, and lower rear quaters, arches and sills, but hasnt realy had much welding/ repair work in its life- and seems to be a pretty honest and original example.
It hasnt been started or run for a good couple of years- so I havent attempted a strt up. I am looking to pull the engine, sort the body and paint, then service and tidy the engine before it goes back in.
Paint wise, its the original colour and I realy do like it- It looks great in the flesh, so it would be a crime to change the colour.
Hoping to make a start on it towards the end of this year- if I can get a few other projects finished and out the door first!
