Hey up guys, I'm currently working through a few little jobs on my Capri to get it back on the road. One thing I've ALWAYS wanted is a set of window louvres (rear and side) but they are eye-wateringly expensive. There are 2 versions that fit the Mk3 - one that is raised really high to clear the wiper (not the best) and a nice snug one for no wiper. I much prefer the later. Problem is they're around 500 quid! And then a further 150-200 for the side ones! 👀 So - I'm thinking I'd like to make something similar myself.. Can anyone think of anything outside the box that resembles the slats that I could perhaps hot glue gun, weld, araldite, or play doh together make some? Rather not weld as I'm not the neatest when it comes to the sparkly wand! Nothing is coming to mind - my Mcguyver senses must be withering. Anyway - onto the primary purpose of the thread... They are quite large on the Delorean as well, as you can see only 4 proper ones really as the top one sort of slopes down as a starter.
Doubles up as great shelving in the winter when it’s hibernation time as well 😀

One of my mates just bought this for his 1303 Big Beetle special edition.  I would love one for my 1970 beetle but as has been said above they are really expensive unless you're very lucky and the seller doesn't know its value. |

These were on my Capri when I bought it. The fit was bad, they had scuffed up the glass ( had to replace that ), and I didn't think they were well made. But I guess I should have realised they'd become popular again, and saved them for the next guy...  |

Not sure on the 'rocco. It has such delicate lines. I've got one for the Dolomite and a NOS ducktail spoiler, too - same as with your MK2, not sure if they really work so they spend their time as loft detritus.

^^^^That's what I'd be tempted to do as, I believe the Capri window is flat too.
Do like a rear louvre and would like one on the Manta but as it's curved there's a bit more work involved making one.
