1975 Reliant Scimitar GTE equipped with a 4 speed with overdrive .
I have the V5 in my name, its MOT and road tax exempt. I have history right back with all the registration documents, last MOT'd in 2015. Most receipts for items bought in the last few months.
The car has been my project and I have been slowly going over the car, I have it running and have done some small trips around the block but the tyres date stamped 2001 so would need changing so the car will need trailering away. The car runs fine at idle but sometimes stutters, the oil pressure is good.
Engine/drive train:
3.0 essex with brand new K&N filter in original housing, silicone leads with set of replacements.
I have gone through the cooling system and replaced lots of clamps and hoses and has a stainless steel pipe and thermostat housing. I’ve changed the oil and filter with 1 mile on it. New fuel filter the carb has not been messed with but I assume it needs adjusting and or rebuild as the car has not been running much in the past few years. The engine has new engine mounts and has been fitted with headers so they sound and flow better. The exhaust as new silencers and clamps. The chassis is solid but has surface corrosion. The fuel has been flushed and filter.
The paint is poor and lacquer has peeled and patchy in places, it was blue at one stage but repainted gold. The wheels have been powder coated and has centres on all four corners. All badges are on the car. Interior is brown and the headlining is intact but dirty.
- Rebuilt front calipers and stainless pipes
-Recent oil and filter replacement
-I have fitted a new battery and clamp on the power lead.
-New front speakers behind refitted door cards with hard PVC.
-Has load cover.
-New steering wheel cover and has leather gaiter and New aluminium gear knob.
Reason for sale is I have lost the drive to spend time on this after a family bereavement and would like to get another MX5/Eunos and use it before ULEZ hits in, the car just sits outside.
Parts with the sale
- Brand new alloy timing gear with new gaskets, sump gasket.
- Rubber rocker cover gaskets
- New silicone lead, one in the car is good quality silicone leads
- Set of 15’’ wolfrace 114.3 6.5 from a TR6 with wolfrace bolts x16 to fit (brand new) wheels have not been polished and would need a spacer at the front and or extended hub nuts.
- Random badges and extra letters
- Odd sods and seat rails from cobra seats
