I can't be the only one who often leaves essential tools behind.
The habit gets much worse when working on other cars or on a test drive. Its very annoying, but not as annoying as being fully aware after I pull away then to hear that strange new noise.
So the got me to wanting to put together a fairly comprehensive tool kit that can live perminantly in the car.
After kicking around eBay, i found the car Tool Kit thing really interesting. Some were very extensive and very elaborate, others were very minimal. The tools were clearly not for regular use so they could be lighter and smaller. and the packaging would have to be very clever.
I'm fairly sure I won't be alone here, so I'm going to start a thread for any other tool perverts to post an image of there car tool kits.
I hoping some Jaguar one's will pop up, but i would really like to see some JDM ones. i get the impression old Hondas had some very novel tool ideas
I guess manufactures these days don't won't people to mess with there cars so best keep this retro
my final solution (the car is a 1966 so i tried to keep it period correct)
I picked up this moskvich tool kit for £25
amazingly the pump and pressure gauge still work
I'v added what i felt was the basics, i had most of the stuff lying around. unfortunately the USSR spanners are metric so i needed to swap this for Imperial
how it looks when packed away
Turned out to be a perfect fit in the Spare wheel boot.
