So I took delivery of this little beetle last week, or the week before, I forget. Was a local car that a friend had in his garage.. he was only asking me if I knew anyone looking for a beetle, next day it was on my driveway. Original plan was to keep it stock and make it mint... but that quickly went out of the window like all my cars and I got on the blower to Eva Restos. Just waiting on a 4”beam, track rods, shortened torsions, grease seals, front and rear short shocks and a pair of drop plates, drop spindles and long travel ball joints. Plan is to deck it, stick it on some rims, shove a stereo in it, and daily it! Current photos how it sits now.   |

Looks mint! Is that a full kit eva resto do? I want narrow my bug by 4" but there's so many kits about. Max at Eva Resto will supply anything from a bare beam all the way to a complete bolt on suspension/brake kit . I’ve had other kits from well known companies & nothing compares to his quality , definitely recommend . |

I’m hoping to reuse a few things off my original beam like the trailing arms etc. I nearly went limebug but max was so helpful and threw a skid plate in for free etc. Cheers for the comments, and about the shed.. I still managed to smash my caddy wing mirror coming out of it this morning..... that wasn’t a good start to the day.  |

I was gonna use limebug but had abit of trouble with something I ordered from them in past and found it a pain to deal with them so put me off think I will use eva resto once my pans been sprayed. How low you planning on going? |

As low as it’ll go without damaging the underside.
I don’t want to flat pan it, as I want it to be able to be returned to full stock when I move it on.

That looks lovely. Now, don't get me wrong, I've always had Beetles for the last 25 years and I've modified every single one of them but yours looks fantastic stock - I wouldn't touch it!

Must be getting old.... I’ve just turned 39, believe me I tried to keep it stock, Tbf it’s still stock now, but that’s only as I’m waiting on the bits.... The deed is done, never grow old, never die! |

Tell me about the lowered spring plates. Do you use those instead of adjusting the torsion bar or as well as?
