So I’m reading ‘First overland ‘ and I’ve come to the part where they take the Nairn bus
I’ve never heard of it, so a quick google search produced this

Apparently it was a service run by two New Zealand brothers to Baghdad, across 600 miles or desert overnight, weighed 17 tons and had two styles of service, premium and tourist
The ‘buses’ were built locally from imported parts, and incorporated two chassis, one inside the other
Anybody heard about these before?
