good afternoon, i should be getting a c reg maestro soon..it's £50 and needs very little work, if any for the mot.
i'm in to minis really, and was wondering what size wheels a maestro comes with as standard? 13's or 14's i'd have thought?
if i'm getting i'm thinking to get it lowered with some deep dish minilights or revos (are maestros and minis the same fitments?)

From a quick search on google it seems as though its 95.8mm x 4
Edit: Or 3.75 in x 4 in old money ;D

maestro are 95.25 (3.75"), which is the same as triumphs, mgf's and montegos. mini rims don't fit tho (4").
i'm currently fitting mini rims on the spitfire (i'm mainly into minis too but fancied a dabble) but i can do this by buying new front hubs with the mini pcd and getting the rear hubs redrilled.

i don't know what to do....in some ways i'd like to make it as posh as possible, trying to track down all the little extras it could have had if they were specified at the time.
but i like the idea of a lowered one, and if you can fit triumph wheels, that's pretty cool!

i've never seen them on an mgf...there was a maestro on here for sale that had mgf wheels and i couldn't get on with it, they all look too modern i think.

If you want more modern wheels MGF wheels fit, and they come in 15" or 16". Triumph TR7 wheels fit, and I think other triumphs may do too. MG Maestro wheels will be dead cheap I would have thought. Does it have plastic or metal bumpers? I like trg says above if you thought of de-bumpering it, the plastic bumpers have no valance behind. Here's a photoshop for some ideas; ![](http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e241/Mykal7655/maestrolo.jpg) I've thought about doing a Maestro for a while, hard to find a good one locally though.

Marina wheels fit, maybe some banded TC ones ftw? Also I think they all (with the exception of MG and Turbo versions) came with 13's. Though I'd imagine the (brilliant) Perkins TD ones had 14" as standard.

knowing nothing at all about the austin rover stuff but...... with some jiggery pokery, could montego hubs be grafted on for 4x114.3 pcd ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) then get some proper j-style rimmage on it ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) or some 7x13 slot mags ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

i'm loving the grey shopped one! i'm not sure if it's metal or plastic, it's a c reg one if that's on any help? i'm shocked that all BL stuff isn't the same...this maestro has got the wheels with the square pressed steel hub cap. if i could afford, i'd consider getting them banded

Maestro and montego, are both the same. However Maestro vans are different and they are 4x114.3pcd. 13`s on base models. Montegos generally 14`s. MG`s came in 14`s on the early ones and 15`s on laters. 13`s can just clear MG calipers if you file a little of the pad carrier.
I don't have any 13`s any more but I have plenty of 14`s and 15`s which will be going the journey soon.

Sounds good! I like Maestro's on MG Montego 15" lattice alloys, and heavily slammed. Think it looks wicked! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) £50 sounds like you can't go wrong ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png)

it's a light metallic green colour, and i'm hoping it's got a brown a blue interior. it's got a sagging headlining (which has been fixed with staples!) but i've seen it round town for years, and now the owner has garaged it because he's getting older and can't be doing with fuel additives, and finds the steering heavy.
i'll let you know as soon as i know any more!

Does it look a bit like this then? But with different wheels obviously. ![](http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e241/Mykal7655/maestro_01.jpg) Those are the plastic bumpers, the ones in the p-shop are metal. I think some lowering and some tasty wheels would work a treat with this. Dolomite sprint alloys perhaps?

the bumpers look different i think...those look slightly bigger than what i remember.
i'm not sure if i'd be up for de-bumpering, i like the idea of lowering and and alloys to look different but not look too played with if you get me.
i'll have to speak to the owner again!
