I’ve just screwed the daily and tried all methods to get what looked like an injector seal out - turns out it wasn’t even there!!! it dropped into the valves at the top of the engine (I hope). - Audi TDI V6. Can the injector seat be re-cut in the cylinder head or would my copper seal make a good enough seal? (Not hopeful) This is the state of the cylinder head now

I did my injectors on a Saab and you have a cutter which aligns in the hole and then you cut off a light amount to ensure its flat for the copper seal to crush against. My mechanic told me that the gas forcing pass the seal will actually cause a small dent of depression so it needs cutting back to a flat surface . You also have the fun of trying not go get any swarf in the engine . A small bit of plastic pipe taped onto the hoover is good to get it out .
