Well a job ive been putting of for sometime happened, as were all going to starve we thought it best to get cracking, we were donated a small greenhouse from a local resident which got assembled in its new home but it lacked any shelf units/benches
Being a horder a quick rummage produced some suitable timber and various pallets that could be broken down and repurposed producing 2 of these

Luckily I managed to get our daily and my 95 year old dads car MOT on Tuesday (I know hes 95 and not meant to be going anywhere!) but they were both going to expire on the 28th so it was a good job done, whilst there they had been saving this for me a 2300cc slant 4 Vauxhall engine as used in Firenzas, Victors, Bedford CFs etc which they had removed from an ice cream van with running problems These are getting quite hard to come by now so even if it wont recondition it will yield many good parts like the cam shaft/housing and buckets, oil pumps are very hard to find now so all in all a good save from the scrap man!

Managed to tidy out the shed so it's a usable space now - I say tidied out, as the tip's shut most of it's gone up in the attic or in boxes/bags in the garden. Seem to have acquired a list of little DIY finishing off jobs that need doing next week.....

We have thought about chickens but there are so many Badgers around here, they are real nasty things with no predators and will tear a chicken shed apart!

Did you see the Hugh fearnley whittingstall(sp!) one where he put s chicken pen on a post with a ladder to keep foxes out? Might work with badgers too? Better pic of my rangie in the brake fluid question section if you’re interested!

My list is endless I would not even know where to start and once I did she would start adding more to the lists (note plural version of list) if ever there was a true advocate of the phrase 'Whilst you are here - can you just' its my wife

She wants more decking building but I don’t have the materials for that. Sure I could get them delivered if I tried hard enough

Looking out of the window at the small garage (that’s the one behind chicken alcatraz) thinking that it might actually blow off in this wind, which would be interesting! Likewise, no materials to fix if it does, the roof sheets are ok but the supporting wood is completely rotten 😬

It doesn't look very fox proof though unless the GSDs are out all the time

Gsd’s are outside dogs, so no fox problems, and also to prevent visitors from homes with wheels, which seem to be fairly prolific recently

I miss my GSDs and since they both passed I've ended up with two Jack Russells although one thinks he's a Rottweiler with little legs
