Hi
my mate has a 1990 ford orion ghia with indoor swimming pools in the rear footwells and boot most likely due to knackered rear door and boot seals -
is there a company that can supply replacements at a reasonable cost - car is being built on a strict budget
Thanks in advance

Hi, is that a Mk4? I'll ask my brother as he knows about blue oval stuff more than I... He may even have a set knocking around somewhere. Or he'll know where to get hold of seals

Get thee to the scrappy! - you'll be spoilt for choice and will only cost pennies. Get as many sets as you can, and check the motors you pull them off don't have the same problem!

scrappies will probably be the 1st port of call - providing they arent knackered!

um, mk1 Orion = mk3 Escort mk2 Orion = mk4 Escort so on and so forth untill ...96 (i think) when the Orion become the 'Escort Saloon'. The Orion deffers in the small facts that (odviously has a boot ) it has a load of parts out of the XR3i crammed into it I far as i know to give it a bit more boost than the boggo Escort.

Nick - did u get the 7 series BM or was it a pile of poo? whats the story??? Bad story that one. Turned out the car wasn't anywhere near a runner (it was advertised as). The brakes and clutch were siezed, it had suffered a (minor) biff up the back end (again not disclosed by seller), plus while the "new tyres" probably were new i.e. they hadn't done any miles, two of them were flat where the car had been sitting laid up for six months. Unsurprisingly I walked away! Also - just spoke to my brother-in-law who knows Escy's / Onions inside out. He reckons Mk1 & 2 Onion and 3 / 4 escy door seals are all the same....

... the only injury I sustained was a bumped head when I let the seatbelt of without realizing the car was upside down and that's not really the car's fault.
