I do hope I know the answer,,,,,,,,,, BUT I want to be sure. Teeny, tiny bulbs that illuminate my car stereo. About 2mm across. Is it just the same as any of the other bulbs on the car, ie indicator/brake light bulbs. ?
For clarity I am talking about making sure they work, not the size...😄

I would think you have l.e.d's. It is really hard to tell, they look like clear glass with a filament inside (unless that is what LED’s are like) Tried to get a picture. For scale with half a peanut...

That's a glass wedge T# incandescent bulb, you need to measure the diameter to figure out what the size is.

I have 5 that I scavenged from my old stereo, I remember some do not work, I don’t want to put them in the new stereo (some bulbs in it don’t work) then have to dismantle it again to change bulbs again. I just wanted to know if because they are tiny I need to measure with the multimeter differently. 😁

Not sure what you need a multimeter for? Vernier calipers are more useful to measure the diameter.

Make sure you take them out of the circuit first though to avoid false readings.
