I'm getting to the point of running the injection pressure and return lines in Wifeys Pop while it is still on the rotisserie.
The engine is only 120 bhp. I want to use metal and go to braided lines at either end, minimum amount (none if possible) of rubber hose.
I know sod all about injection so...
Thoughts on sizes and material for these please.

If it was me, I'd run a pair of 8mm kunifer pipes (or whatever the BIVA states as suitable) hard lines for feed and return. Then use good quality fuel hose where needed ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Just bear in mind that kunifer is a right ![](http://www.wired.com/images_blogs/underwire/2009/11/fox_60.jpg) to bend, and there are also plastic coated aluminium pipes on the market as well

Nylon and rubber (genuine stuff, not the junk that’s sold in metre long pieces on a hanger) is fine for motor manufacturers - so why braided specifically?

My previous car was 115bhp and I used 1/4" copper lines for that with no issue. The current one uses 10mm copper - which is probably a bit big but was set by the push on fittings I wanted to use.

-6AN is tge most typical size to use if you are looking at ptfe braided hose, which is 5/16 - 8mm.
all my cars had 8mm lines as standard so the ones that got any braided hose got -6 fittings.
I used torques.co.uk for them as Alex is a long time 205 forum member, met him briefly a few times over 15 years ago and is fairly local to me.
what fittings you need depend on the application, so some detail there would help!
sometimes you can't get away from using a short piece of rubber hose from fuel tank sender units and fuel rails as there arent any fittings that'll join onto them, but there's plenty of ethanol safe hose, Gates Barricade is one that rings a bell.
on my zx there's rubber from the sender unit/fuel pump into a barb An fitting into a compression fitting to 8mm copper tube, engine bay is compression fitting to -6 to all braided hose through the outer injector rail then to a 3" piece of rubber onto the original inner fuel rail which also contains the pressure regulator.
I will get a weld on -6 fitting put on the fuel rail eventually.

Thanks for the replies, helped to get it sorted in my head, all planned now.
Phil H, I want to use braided because I can!

Phil H, I want to use braided because I can! Fair enough ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) - as long as it’s stuff that needs crimped or compression fittings, not that rubber-covered-in-loose-braid stuff that takes a jubilee clip in a sleeve that degrades but you can’t see it. Once bitten etc..

Definitely the former! No corners cut on fuel stuff.
