Castle Combe Trackday - Final Instruction – Monday July 27th
Below are your final instructions for Monday July 27th Retro Trackday at Castle Combe 😊 . If you have any questions about the day, a driver or car change please message us direct. Don’t forget to follow the documents link and download, print, read and fill out any forms that are relevant to you.
Don’t forget we have free instruction available on the day which you can sign up for by following the link to documents and fill out the form then return it to us before the day, spaces will be limited though as we are only permitted 5 instructor slots per instructor.
At least one photographer will be in attendance, if you wish to take photos at the event get in touch and we can give you a sign on form. we will have trackside videos available but please book in advance via the link -

If you want to ask questions or have any issues throughout the day please see one of our staff and they will be more than happy to help. We are in direct radio contact with circuit officials and marshals throughout the day so we hear any issues out on track straight away and will get anything sorted as fast as possible to give you all plenty of seat time.
Please be aware that we are still limiting attendance to our trackdays. Per booking only two extra people are permitted. An extra driver is permitted from another household providing you wipe down between driver changes. A passenger is permitted but only from the same household. A mechanic is also welcome. Drivers and passengers must be pre booked via our event page on the website and all attendees must be written on your sign on form or they will not be on the list to come in. There are also separate Passenger forms to fill out.
Please message us your mechanics names so that they can also be noted on the entry list.
Please bring your own helmets as there will not be any available for hire. Remember that we are still under COVID guidelines so social distancing where possible is essential.

Final Instructions:
- Please ensure you bring your driving licence to track with you, we may want to check it when you sign on. Sign on papers are available in advance, please follow the link, download, print, sign and bring it with you on the day
- Morning and full day bookings need to arrive before 8am to hand in sign on paperwork, sound test and then attend the briefing in the Strawford garage or pitlane weather depending
- Afternoon attendees we will do a separate briefing for you at lunch time just after 1pm so feel free to turn up around mid day or before is fine
- please ensure Your car meets the sound limit of 100Db's at three quarter revs, there are no refunds if your car does not meet noise limits. Merlin Motorsport offer add on silencers if you are having trouble, or we do have a couple available to hire ourselves. Please come and see us if you fail and we will help you out to try and get you through sound test
- Helmets and seatbelts to be worn at all times on track
- Arms and legs need to be covered on track
- Please make sure you have towing eyes fitted before going on track, this will help reduce track closure times should anyone brake down or have an accident
- front passengers permitted only (Age 16 or over)
- Windows only to be opened if its hot weather and only enough to get air through and not allow hands and arms out.
- No hand held media devices. Cameras must be securely mounted and have a second tether
- Passenger sign on is £10
- Extra drivers £25
- Overtaking only on the right and on the straights preferably with consent with the slower driver indicating
- We run a spin & in policy, if you have a moment out on track, return to the pits, take a break and check your car over
- All cars must be at least to a road going standard, any cars deemed unsafe will not be allowed on track
- UK Trackdays do not allow timing
- Please remember this is a trackday not a drift day, although marshals and staff do understand in poor weather conditions moments do happen
Driving etiquette is a huge part of all our events. If a driver is seen to be endangering other drivers due to poor driving standards or ignoring general track rules they will be warned once and offered instruction, upon second offence will be asked to leave the circuit with no refund.
Please listen to all Slip&Grip Staff and Circuit Marshals their word is final.
Nearest fuel station is back towards Chippenham for normal fuel and for high octane the nearest is in Box. Please drive carefully when arriving and leaving the circuit CCTV is in operation at all times at the circuit.
Have lots of fun and be safe!! Build your speed through the day and everyone will see plenty of seat time.
To give people and incentive to stay on track we are implicating a penalty charge this year for all our trackdays.If you cause a red flag or long delay due to driver error you must make an on the spot donation to Wilts Air Ambulance 😊 of which we will have a pot for in sign on.
