Yes Rich V62 application, frustrating but heyho that’s the way it is ,as said just annoying there’s so many other cars I need to buy!! Yea man, I was waiting on the logbook to the Mazda I got from here, luckily the guy who had it did get a logbook in the end and the DVLA advised to apply online in my name, and by the time the V62 was processed they would either issue a duplicate logbook in my name or just ignore it as a 'book had been sent. Either way I have one now, not really much use for you I know but just wanted to pass on the info they gave me about processing time chap. |

I applied for historic status on the 1st April - the local post office agreed to send my logbook off. I received a new V5C this week! Definitely a long-winded affair!

I've got some personal plates currently on retention that I want to pout on my new to me car but if there's lots of delays I'm a bit cautious. Or as it's all online and as I don't want to sell the lack of a physical new V5C doesn't really matter?

Swapped my plate over onto my X6 within minutes and they give you a confirmation email that the plate is now registered to the car. The only issue you’ll have just now is probably waiting forever for an updated v5 but not really an issue. |

I have just manged to speak to someone at the dvla again
My log book has apparently not even been processed yet
Not what I wanted to hear, can’t do anything with it for now

I’ve read people still getting logbooks via the v62 throughout the pandemic and getting a quick turnaround. I sent my v62 off on Monday, I’ll update accordingly. I have my green slip though, unsure if doing it with a payment extends the process? Logbook arrived today mate, seems they’re starting to filter through again. |

This is getting very tedious with the dvla I fully understand the circumstances But 17 weeks for a log book  It’s all wrong if as I was told they have people working from home surely log book applications should be being processed?? And they have staff back now too I don’t usually moan but this really is a joke from a government organisation When I spoke to them I was told there helping key workers first Well I’m a key worker I’ve worked all the way through the lockdown and I’ve received no help from the dvla whatsoever , I did explain this to them on the phone Sorry rant over I just want to get the car sold on so i can buy the Mercedes or ford I’m after |

I’m ford through and through have been since I was 15 years old it’s hard to break an addiction Someone will love this motor though no doubt |

Praise be! What a nightmare that was. Yep 19 weeks from application in the end To be fair nobody predicted what the pandemic would cause At least it’s here , I don’t like selling cars without a log book I can get on and find the car a new home now |

Well a funny few days as always when selling a car
Two firm offers without viewing! And the usual messers on eBay
Both never bothered to reply once I’d accepted the offers
Is it worth putting no timewasters in an ad?!!!
I’ve had a good look what is around for the same money and it’s an eye opener, all cars needing plenty of work and in some cases plenty of welding
I just can’t modify this car , I keep uncovering it and visualising it very low on 16” steels
But I can’t bring myself to , it’s to mint for that
Hopefully it’ll find a buyer before the summer is out or I will have to find storage for it

Yeah, it’s just springs and dampers, and if you drop the price too far to get a sale then the next owner might just be buying it because it’s the tidiest cheap old car they could afford... which would be no better that you dropping it on 16s and looking after it And I think they look really good on 16” steels  |
