1991 E30 BMW 316i Lux
I'm selling my unmolested, and unmodified E30 316i, 2 door saloon with the M40 engine.
She's spent nearly the last 3 years, being restored, mostly all by my mate, and by that I mean all the welding on both the cills, and some in the boot area, and hopefully lasting another 20 odd years!
She's originally from a dealer in Newport South Wales and still has her dealer sticker in the boot and on the rear reg plate.
Has a manual sunroof and a dry boot!
The mileage is only 113000, and has her original handbook, including the original stereo guide, which is still fitted and the same colour as the dash. She has all her spare keys. She has also had the following completed;
Four brand new maxis tyres fitted on original 14" BBS alloys.
Spare tire is also a BBS excellent condition.
Original car Jack and tool kit is there except for the spark plug remover.
New front disc and pads including pad wear sensor, and no lights on dash on or have been removed!
All parts sourced from Cotswold BMW
New lollipop bushes and ARB bushes
Steering rack has been replaced and flushed with lower mileage rack from a 316. I still have the original rack, as a spare to replace the bushes on.
New clutch slave cylinder and master cylinder fitted along with clutch reservoir.
New throttle cable
New radiator and thermostat.
All petrol pipes replaced.
New wind screen washer valve and tubes to washer bottle fitted.
Rear top mount rubbers replaced and M3 plate fitted under the mounts.
New exhaust and all the fluids in the rear diff, gearbox and oil change completed.
Sunroof works perfectly along with the original radio and speakers.
The OBC works with, temperature, time, memo and date.
Since coming out of hibernation in May 2019, she has been on the drive, doing the odd school run and odd trip to Bristol to see friends. Chloe has been looked after and has had everything done that needs doing, so now the things that you need to know as I want to be as honest as I can.
The interior now has a grey leather interior, my mate thought covering the dash in leather would be a nice surprise, but it wasn't and I have a replacement dash to go in, as removing the leather left a horrible residue behind.
She takes a few minutes to warm up in the morning, but once warm, she's absolutely fine.
Wing mirrors move's manually instead of electronically.
Doors open via key, rather than central locking.
And the glove box light is present, but doesn't light up, battery gave up some years ago.
All of this is reflected in the price.
I also have a lot of spare parts, new and old, which I've collected over the years, which will go with Chloe, if you want.
Brand new in box, x 2 rear drums, rear brake shoes and cylinders.
Also brand new in boxes, two bodge rear shocks, and 2 front inner and outer tie rods.
Also have 3 boxes of spare, lights front and rear, radiator.
I just want to finish off by saying, Chloe really is a really nice car to drive and is more than happy on the motorway, A or B roads, the 316i is as much fun as my older 318i.
Please, please contact me if there's anything you want to know.
I'm not going to speal on why I'm selling, but happy to reply if anyone wants to know.
