One of my all time favorites. Ours over here (USA) had outrageously silly bumpers.
Does yours have dogleg 5-speed, or was that only m635csi?

Yes, shame you got those and the low comp m30 - but that is set for boost feom the factory! Mine was obviously a 10:1 Euro engine, using the later B35 head dropped compression a little along with the thicker mls. It's now 8.4:1,so still reasonable off boost. Full boost is at 3300rpm. The gearbox is a Getrag 265/6, which has a normal H pattern. The dogleg was a 265/5 'sport' gearbox, apparently slightly weaker. The 265 is known for it's strength, they will take much more torque than I am throwing at it. Both gearboxes were available in the standard 635csi but the M only had the dogleg. |

The trackday went very well, all things considered. The only problem I had was the oil feed came loose on the turbo due to excessive heat. After the resulting fire went out, I re-tightened it and there were no more problems. However, it did come loose again on the way home and then the pipe melted through on the way to my friends for some map tweakage. This then torched a lead and caused a missfire so I will be getting a steel braided feed made up! Oh, and a set of Magnecor race leads..
