How often have you bought a new radiator for a car? Been offered a job lot at a good price, but I cant see them selling very quickly if at all. Lot of different models, mostly late 90s early 00s. Naturally I would list them on here first.

As with most job lots they’re often the stuff they can’t move on too quickly, have you got a list of fitments? I’ve bought two just recently, but both alloy and both for specific modifications If they’re copper and cheap enough they’d always go over the bridge?

Not as often as I should, but enough times I have done.
Out the 39 cars I probably had 3 of them with new rads, and changed them in 3 other cars. That list includes:
-'89 XR3i ; came changed -'00 306 GTi-6 ; Came changed ; it previously had a front ender -'89 944 Turbo ; Visually this looked fine ; I only changed it under instruction from the specialist. It did keep cooler -'96 306 DTurbo ; I changed this as the fins were falling out of the old rad. It then began to overcool at winter and the fan hardly ever kicked in over the summer, unlike before. Small wonder HGs were said to go in D-Turbos... -'89 205 GTi ; New rad. This kept super cool, even in hot Germany -'04 & '05 Mondeo V6. I only changed this as the tank cracked. One had always run on factory coolant. Even that car responded better to a new rad -'98 106 GTi ; Came with a new rad. Ran cooler than a mate's 106 1.5D -'74 Stag ; These almost need a rad every 5 years! -'79 Dolly Sprint ; Came with a new rad. It kept very cool -'91 944 Turbo : Came with one ; it ran very cool on an ally rad -'85 Escort RS Turbo ; It ran cool on an ally rad -'90 MX-5 1.6i ; It ran cool on an ally rad
It's been enough for me to always go new on such an item now, unless the car is both worthless and not used much by me, which is a rarity.
Almost all rads get blocked slowly over time IME, even with decent coolers, albeit alot slower.

I bought a new one for my CF2, and a new one for my Scimitat.
That's my total car radiator purchasing history for the last 50 years.

Think it all really depends on just how good the price is and how feasible it is for you to store them without them being in the way . . . .

Think that space is why they are for sale. Roughly 150 radiators plus some brake discs and clutches and a few intercoolers. 8 pallets of stuff so a big heap. Rads all made by Nissens and even selling on at £ 50 ish each I would make a few bob. Be a long job though not get rich quick.

I’ve replaced plenty for various reasons from accident damage to them being a bit gammy or Suspecting them being silted up.
Most ally and plastic rads really are not expensive new from a proper outlet with appropriate warranty though, I don’t think I’ve ever paid much over 50 quid for one including delivery. Copper/brass obviously fetch much more but I doubt anything of that period will have one.

My regular MOT garage looked over my Carina II when I got it. They said the gills were falling out of the factory rad [no leaks] and new would be wise. They couldn't source one [read, couldn't be arrassed] I scored an Ebay 'Corolla Auto' rad - shrink wrapped in box - for £18 delivered. The two spouts [for auto cooler] were given back to me lol OVIMOR
