I bought this car as part of a magazine feature and spent some time preparing it for a big trip… to the Outer Hebrides. It completed the 1300-mile round trip with no issues and averaged 50mpg, despite being fully loaded at all times.
It is in decent condition generally, but the bodywork does have a few dinks and scratches here and there, plus a bit of lacquer peel in the centre of the bonnet. The interior is in great condition and pretty clean, although the glove box lid has come off due to a broken hinge.
Car has done 132k and, over the past couple of months, has received new battery, front brake discs, caliper and flexi-hose, full three-piece clutch kit, GAZ adjustable rear dampers, alternator drive belt, rear exhaust silencer, four new Avon WT7 tyres, wiper blades front/rear plus fresh oil/oil filter and air filter.
This Pug now drives very nicely, is perfectly usable, reliable and extremely frugal on fuel. MOT runs until October 2020. Apparently the colour is quite rare, too.
