Ah Grizz, that properly sucks. So sorry. Certainly does mate. I do not enter into this sort of thing, like offering my friendship, lightly. And anyone who says “but you only got her 5 days ago, needs to see how it feels to a human to lose a newborn. You bond, you care, you feel. Tonight is cold and wet outside. I suspect she will feel it. The Viva will be fine for now, but not ideal. Several years ago now we had a cat for literally a couple of days; was rehomed with us by a former neighbour because, they said he wasn’t eating properly and their other cats were picking on him. When he arrived it was quite clear he wasn’t eating because he was a very poorly moggy 😞. A trip to the vets confirmed this, and that there’s was nothing really that could be done. He came home that night to give us a chance to speak to his former owners. I still remember the feeling that night when I was in bed and felt him jump up and settle in behind me, knowing the next day he’d be gone😢 Like you say some people are just cnuts 😖 Especially as if you lived close to the yard I reckon she’d rehome herself back to yours anyway!

Very sorry to hear this grizz I am sure that if she could talk, Molly would have given you a 5* Trip Advisor rating, and would have happily stayed with you. Plus kept your mouse population down. You're right - a proper load of bar stewards. Thank you mate. My lodgers seem to give me a 5* rating too. I have made peace, but did wonder what they would make of spending a week right now, sleeping in the car and finding their own food, without a job.

I know it's not a cat forum. But your project threads with all the humanity evolved, makes for a good worthwhile read. Visit the cat, when in gets abit colder, at the end of the day, cat will decide. Not even possible in wild dreams. She will always be sweet, friendly, domesticated and owned by D1ckheads. Certainly does mate. I do not enter into this sort of thing, like offering my friendship, lightly. And anyone who says “but you only got her 5 days ago, needs to see how it feels to a human to lose a newborn. Sad story, but we need to make the most of it. Unfortunately, I live 26 miles away, and there are two water masses between us, in fact, three , one repeats by road. She will be there unless somehow the owners have a change of mind and personally approach me about giving her a home. I will see her when I visit Darren from time to time.

Well, we'll just have to rely on good old Karma to settle the score... Sorry for you though. As you say, we care, we bond and we love...and this can all happen in an instant sometimes. Our "Karma" sends some your way.

curse word Rian, that sucks big time. If Molly was to "disappear" from Darren's yard after a month or two, I wonder if the owners would actually be bothered? Maybe you & puss can play a bit of a long game? Still feel for her being back in the elements.

I haven't posted in maybe 2 years, but now I will post something: I don't know how you can do such a thing, like returning the cat, knowing she will have a worse life than with.you. What a weak person are you Grizz?? You don't have the balls to leave her with you??? You have to do the right thing, and return her??? Says à lot about the owners, but says even more about you. I don't know how you can sleep att night now. Weak, weak, weak... Ps: if HW throws me off, so be it. Just curse word off about what you did.

Well done hotrodder hope you feel better for that ignorant rant The owner wanted the cat back, and as it’s microchipped legally they are the owners, nothing Grizz could do about that, just great of you to rub it in a little bit more👎

I rarely let my true colours come out on here. However, it could be time for us to see your name in the Limburg Post Obituary. YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHO I AM OR WHAT I AM. NOR MY MOTIVATION FOR RETURNING THIS CAT. BUT IF I KEPT HER, MY FRIEND COULD HAVE HAD HIS HEAD KICKED IN. HIS BUSINESS SABOTAGED OR ATTACKED. ONE OF HIS RACE CARS OR HOTRODS DESTROYED don't EVER THROW A RANT UNLESS YOU UNDERSTAND THE FULL SITUATION. NOW GO CRAWL BACK UNDER THE ROCK YOU BELONG. I do not accept your attack.

Maybe you & puss can play a bit of a long game? Still feel for her being back in the elements. For the short game, maybe it would be possible to make the car a bit more comfortable? Some blankets and some food? Had similar chip concerns when we rescued our dog, but no chip found. Really do feel for you, I was at work when doglegs came home, but "bonded" the moment I walked in the door and he came running up to me as if he'd lived there his whole life!

Nothing ignorant about it. I get it completely. I also get it that the owners didn't miss their cat, didn't care for their cat, that she slept in the yard next door, or a bit further. I get it that she got her food from Grizz's friend, and not the owners. If he hadn't gone to the vet(I am NOT saying he shouldn't have gone to the vet) they wouldn't even have known their cat lived somewhere else. If this would have been my vet, he wouldn't even report or register it, if he knows an animal isn't looked after, if he gets an animal in that's neglected, the owners can do whatever they want, they won't get it back. So I guess my vet has a bit more "character" than this one. If I can rescue an animal(have done it last year, the owners could do whatever they wanted, i rescued it, and it has stayed here. Period. I don't take sh*t from no one). And no, I don't pretend to be more holy than the Pope and do "the right thing", do as the law dictates. I have a bit more guts than that. Now the cat had a taste of a decent life, but Grizz brings her back, and "ah well, it sucks, there will be another. Next!". His words. If it gets to you, losing her again, then don't write it like that. I'm going to stop here, because I know the Big Great Holy Grizz has a large following, and I'll only get more sh*'t thrown at me. No problem. I said what I had to say.

No problem. I said what I had to say. Right, I really do tend to avoid these sort of conversations and clashes. There will always be three sides to every story. Yours Theirs And inbetween somewhere, “The Truth” Firstly, I do not want the Benevolent Dictator to boot your, or my butt off here, this is a great, self regulating community. I think, looking back at your old posts, the cars you collect, drive and enjoy, and the way I recall you being unwell, or unable to do a job (I could be wrong) but still making the best of it all, that you are a man of strong convictions, possibly also a bit reactive. So let me try explain a few things, some may get lost in translation along the way. 1.) The word “Next” was not aimed, or implied to mean next cat, it meant next job, next challenge, or lets not sit and cry about something we cannot do much about. 2.) By law, I have no right to the cat. 3.) Having my own MORAL COMPASS meant that I, for my own conscience, despite fearing the worst If she was chipped, needed to allow and ask for them to check her out. Imagine if you lost a pet, someone not letting you know it was in their care. 4.) it was very clear to me that it pained the vet to call the number associated with the micro chip. Even more so to tell me the associated story of them wanting it back. 5.) He called them a second time in the afternoon (after I had returned her) to ask if they would reconsider, and they were quite rude in telling him to go do something unpleasant to himself. He then called me to apologise that he could not change their minds. 6.) My friend runs a family engineering business with his father. It is situated in a closed community, and with Twitter , Facebook, and the rest, which they use for advertising as well, someone could easily impact their business. 7.) People like the cats owners husband at 6’4” vs my friend at 5’8” are best not messed with, unfortunately sabotage, wilful destruction of property, are a reality in modern life. 8.) We wanted to do what we could/can for the cat, meaning well. However that has been stopped. 9.) I could report the owner to the RSPCA and kick off a situation, have the cat captured and put up for adoption by a loving family, but this would have all the potential of kicking off Points no 6 & 7 I doubt any of this will resonate with you, as you have your own set of rules, which do not seem to take into account the law, or general ethics or moral codes, unless they affect you. Next time you want to attack me, or anyone else on a forum, please do it by PM, or email, or even by phone as this is not exactly the right way to do it as it polarises people, and weird as it may seem, I do not want to see people choose sides. Hope my reply makes some sense.
