So Sunday Sally came around again, we are doing the separation thing fully, frustratedly. We had decided to rest on Sunday which led to a 5 mile or 8 km walk over the farm, down to the edge of the Thames river. Some Irisis on the way. Shipping carrying on, up the river. Down on the tidal wall, Sally saw some friends based on their profiles..... Note the distance being kept, some sensibility maintained. River tide was mostly out. Loads of driftwood on the bank, including this long board, worn away over time, leaving a lovely pattern, I really wanted it. We picked up loads of glass and some other bits, including a lump of driftwood for Sally’s garden, and a construction helmet, that seemed brand new. Sally’s treasures, glass will be part of a wind chime mobile. Our route.

Those Corsa engines are disposable curse word. Surprised she got more than 50k on it. Timing chain normally goes on them. Everything built so cheap with no chance of a rebuild. Dump it and buy something else unfortunately 👎🏻

You need to watch your toes with this one rian...no flash cup holders or bluetooth speaker systems built in...just a 3hp motor with a proper brass pump on it. Will easily cut through tarmac with a turbo lance attached. Would not mess with one of those. Mine has Air Ride and cup holders. Probably a joy to work with, yours. The most powerfull one I used was to clean the hull of my old man's boat, they had a big old diesel you had to hand crank with the de-compressor out, once it was going you had to brace yourself as it would easily knock you over it had some sort of high speed rotating head on it and stripped a seasons fouling plus most of the old anti fouling off the hull of an 8m yacht in about 10 minutes at the end I was absolutelty shattered.

i've used big diesel powered ones but for its size this one's a beast. in a previous life it was lent to a boat owner and spent 6 months in the bilge...most of that time underwater. when i acquired it , it was basically scrap but i stripped it back to bare bones and despite starting off with the motor resembling one solid lump of corrosion all i had to replace in the end was the switch. done me nearly 30 years sterling service since.

I would love one of them over here, bigger problem is getting the spray directed down the lance onto the paving in a way to strip away as much muck as fast as possible. That plank is pretty awesome Grizz I soooooo want it Alan, you have no idea. It would be used in part to rebuild the BBQ lintel. And the rest for something special, maybe a small bench or stool. 💩 i've used big diesel powered ones but for its size this one's a beast. in a previous life it was lent to a boat owner and spent 6 months in the bilge...most of that time underwater. when i acquired it , it was basically scrap but i stripped it back to bare bones and despite starting off with the motor resembling one solid lump of corrosion all i had to replace in the end was the switch. done me nearly 30 years sterling service since. Dump it and buy something else unfortunately 👎🏻 I am not a fan of Corsa’s, however I know of a 58 plate that had done over 300k and it’s replacement heading towards 200k. Still wouldn’t buy one. Sorry for the thread hi-jack.

Ja, maar die boer se rug is gefok Not as easy as it sounds, however, you have given me an alternative idea. Imagine something like a skateboard that has much larger wheels, maybe 15-25 inch diameter, strapped to one end....... #strapon And behind me. Maybe if one can find a way to allow it to carry some of the load too, keep in mind it is from sea level, uphill all the way along 4km of farm tracks and grass, there will be a certain amount of drag. Yup, plan may be formulating.

Considering this COVID-19 thing has turned our lives into a Groundhog Day from hell, some more of the same. Sunday Started part 2 of paving cleaning, moving the house firewood box and other items away, its amazing how long prep, clean and clean again takes. Eventually by 15.30 only that bit left to get to. Done. Bad lighting, still wet in places, but job done for part two. Next up over next weekend will be the driveway strips and down at the garage which is a real mess. Sally came to visit to weed my garden bed and dust the living room, and as usual, hard as it is, we managed to keep our distance, sensibly. I cooked Cajun chicken thighs and veggies. Assisted by Brandy and Pepsi Max, I thought I had earned it. Chatting with Dennis, who is still working, he sent pics of Hunter the new pup at around 10.00 USA time. Seems everything was still very quiet after the previous days quad and three wheeler party..... Beer won. So life goes on, just with a bit more thought and social distancing. Plan churning in my head as to how to get that long wooden plank the 4km from sea level at the Thames river, back to my home. .

Sack barrow rachet strapped to one end? Good idea, however, I want to see if bigger wheels and some lightweight frame to raise the plank and take up some of the weight, does not formulate as a plan. 4km and lots of grass and farm tracks create a certain amount of drag.
