Rian - Thanks for the update That converted church certainly 'Top Trumps' our converted chapel Still - not doing that badly though Take care / Catch up soon Chris Hi Chris, Thanks, I went and got some pics today from the other side on my walk. I will post them up later as the other foreign forums like the randomness of my posts, and are interested in the UK. I've just got out for a walk to a park about a mile away I have never been too, most refresshing, a good chance to see what old cars people have tucked away down the sides of their houses and got in just before it rained. I can't do anything high impact because I have a foot problem but I am thinking of getting my old bike out and seeing If I can ride that. Excellent news Kevin. Random Covid-19 update. Using the Map my Walk app, it gives all sorts of info including a complete elevation tracker, showing any hills etc. The trick is to do a walk that makes a picture on the app... Video spying! unless I'm actually using it I have some paper over the laptop camera. Beware the settings if you use zoom the organiser can tell if you're not actually using the zoom window, like you're actually reading RR on the side... I was tempted to create a dog today, but did a complete mess, will post later. Spying is everywhere and we can just try be clever. Video spying! unless I'm actually using it I have some paper over the laptop camera. Beware the settings if you use zoom the organiser can tell if you're not actually using the zoom window, like you're actually reading RR on the side... New Lenovo laptops have a little physical shutter that slides over the camera lens. Handy. Noticed the Zoom thing the other day. First time I've used it. Of course, I was riveted to what I was being told, so no worries there... Settings help, but I still think blu tack is ideal. Keep in mind the microphone, though set on mute, could still record. Had a nice 5 mile walk along the harbour today. Bit busier than it usually is with all these people self isolating. Thanks for sharing that, I really enjoy seeing stuff from other places.

If they'd got the camera and microphone working, they'd have seen this... and heard the ftzzzz, as another tin is opened.

Nice to know you are ok, the missus and me are both still grafting, she is a care worker and I am in food manufacturing, our crotch fruit are both staying at home to do school work, I do feel for anyone who is having to self isolate and work from home but I am feeling increasingly exposed by having to go to work as usual and come into regular contact with four different shifts across two factories, unfortunately engineering work can’t be done from home and they won’t put us on standby, also the wife is having doubts as to whether she is doing the right thing by carrying on with the care work. It’s a tricky situation all over, can’t wait for this god awful thing to be behind us and we can go back to talking about cars and road trips. Stay safe Grizz 👍 I am not that good at staying safe. My mindset is more traditional, and is along the lines of “lets get in there and sort it all out” But I am consciously trying to be sensible. Thanks for the pics too, cool stuff out there, love the fire truck. If they'd got the camera and microphone working, they'd have seen this... and heard the ftzzzz, as another tin is opened. Yup, looks like fun George.

Continuing this rambling random photo diatribe.... Dennis sent pics over the weekend of his floor in the workshop. Wet....... as it does every year when temperatures change, what would you call this, other than a PITA. Part of the roll cage out again, while he makes the seats fit the cab. Cab off, cab on, cab off...... Chassis with one of the exhausts hanging out under tha chassis. Friday I also ended up feeling really out of sorts, including getting the chills in a big way. So I made a fire, that was not a bad idea. Except nobody/cat to share it with. .

Hopefully you haven't been struck down grizz - I am currently on the 2nd week of lockdown as my work's policy is to go in unless you have any kind of symptoms. I had a dry cough and nothing else, but they said nope. I have included a picture of Daisy the kitten (she's 8 months old now!) to give you a bit of upcheer. She has so far not shown any inclination of being a garage cat. Yet. I am working on it.

I have the last week wished a stray would come and move into my place, dog or cat, but preferably cat, simply based on Harleys tutelage Good seeing daisy making the most of lockdown too.

I don’t know what looks more inviting, getting stuck into Dennis’s truck or your log burner. 😃

So how is your young lady coping without seeing you Rian? Or are you still able to get out walking together?

Total respect to her Hopefully this will be over one day then life can resume for us all Agreed Dan. I was shocked to hear from her how most of the “kids” as she calls the youngsters (she is the oldest person there) could not wait to be sent home or lose their jobs, in order to get the 80% income. I wonder how many people realise that the debts we are creating right now will be paid back by severe austerity and increased taxes, which we all will pay in the end. I am also thankful to still have a job at this point and do all I can to make sure I am there for my NHS friends, partners and patients. I also try to be thankful for every person actually working and making a difference right now. In other random news. Over in Oklahoma, Andy is self isolating with Hershey the dog, and catching up on a load of chores and tasks. He has been making a load of castings, working on the alchemy that makes his Alu-bronze pieces. As you can see, a lot of incomplete, and weirdly, they continue to be my favourites Can you see the difference in the two pics? .

Big respect and thanks to Sally ... I told her and she said thank you. She is shy, reserved, and says as longs as she breathes she will work.

Another walk And the church converted to a home from a different angle. Getting there. Not bad for a quick hours lunchtime walk. Charlie finishing off another field. Then back to more online training, meetings about meetings and whatever else .

Keep on staying safe Rian. My poor Mum still lives in Ireland but like a lot of us, has a huge amount of family scattered across the UK. Her younger sister died an she along with my Dad were JUST able to attnt the funeral before everything shut down. So I and my 5 sib's haven't been able to be there for her, just in case.Esp eldest bro who in self isolation. But because I'm a breadman I'm still out and about, seeing the idiots out barbecuing and walking in groups etc etc. Crazy times.

Rian - That's one nice Church - I wonder what the covenants that are listed on their deeds (they always come with covenants) When I first enquired to the agent about our 'Chapel' converted to a residence one of my first questions was 'What Covenants' does it have - The response was I will have check & come back to you - which he did - There are 3 he said down the end of the phone: 1- You can not use the property to hold religious services - I'm ok with that I informed him 2- You can not utilise the property for a gambling den - I don't have any issues with that either - I told him Has he went to inform me of number 3 he took a strong intake of breath & a hesitant pause then said that the last covenant would probably break my interest in the property 3- You can not retail liquor of any description from the property - Ho ok I said - I can give has much drink as I like away but I cant sell any - Yes came the reply - That's fine we would like to proceed with the purchase Other church / religious buildings come with all sorts of restrictions like having maintain the graveyards / correct any headstones etc

But like you, people male a choice, and then live with it.

Strange and terrible times for many. I have not got an issue with my own company, though I prefer to have it, rather than being alone. Today....... Long overdue carving. This COVID 19 pandemic has allowed me to take a bit of time to create a Tiki Racer garden ornament. Inspired by Mr Tiki, nd a toy I bought t a boot fair years go. So I went down to my -lie of blocks. Pulled a special one out/ Basic design Excess cut away. Of course cutting this part between the wheels will be interesting Baby steps. Seat cut out. Quick prototype Tiki driver from an off cut. Shaped. And in place. At this point I come inside. Tomorrow the hard part starts, carving and defining the wheels, recessing the drivers cab and seat. Plus getting the front and rear curves just right. Later. .

Stay safe Grizz. My world (although not NHS) isn't hugely different from yours;
8am to midnight 5days a week playing VT and email tennis.
Odd site visit thrown in, solo, in a quarry or such. Pootle down empty roads.
Have jnr a couple or three nights a week, breaks it up. Rest of the time I'm pottering alone with ex-wifes cat, and my dog.
If you're struggling solo hit us up. Always happy to chat, especially as your interests are so random and interesting 😎
I've many projects and stuff to do, but WFH seems to slow work down, so a 10hr day takes forever.
