I backed up into a pole once with my Transit. In my defense I had no rearward visibility other than my mirrors; the same as you can with that (there's metal under the rubber) I beat the bumper and bracket with hammers until it was straight again. Same couldn't be said for the pole, which spent the next 3 years at a jaunty angle before the sidewalk was torn up to put a new building in. Really frustrating, despite minimal damage. I hate stupid stuff like that, just three of those posts.

Can you say Beer Truck in Russian. My friend Vladimir sent it, was tempted to hiJack it, he likes beer. This morning craigrk went to see Steve, who sold me the ZQ8 wheels to collect some more GMC parts. When he got there, Steve was ready and waiting as the road is a busy road. Looking forward,to seeing what’s in the box nd bag. Could be interesting.

. So, in other news........ Lodger is headed to Exeter, possibly for a new job there, living with his mum. Busy deep cleaning and disinfecting his room, he was not a fan of soap and water. My back has completely given up on me, so struggling to do pretty much anything. Yesterday, Sally and I managed to prep one side window tint sheet before my back called it a day. Once cut and marked, I -it it away, safely in a cardboard tube. Nothing else done the weekend. Except for scouring the personal registration plate sites. Still not found right and cheap together. Sooon, I hope.

Ever heard of a blind spot?? Ever reversed into something that was not there...... I did. Not reversed, well not this example, some years ago driving out of Bath I passed a Land Rover specialist and glanced at the row of parked up for sale cars at the front, decided to have a closer look and turned in at the end of the line of cars. What I didn't see was the low barrier, made a mess of the sill of the car... that door never really sealed properly but hey company car. Interestingly the day before it went back driving along the Newbury bypass the door glass in that door just exploded, gave me a bit of a fright and a cold drive home.

Glass was probably waiting, tensed and stressed, ready to let go just when the time was right. Those low obstacles should be outlawed really.

Random posting. More for the record, as I do intend to get something done about it at some point, a good repaint for one. This colour is quite fragile, and will mark easily. So just the front bumper seems to have its fair share of scratches, and a ding in the steel bumper itself. Corners Front And the big ding. So it will be either a Dent specialist or maybe a paint shop. What is the general experience and opinions?

My 06 Silverado was that color.
If you do get it painted, note 2 things:
1) the paint has significant depth and needs to all be painted at the same angle else in sunlight it looks wrong
2) It fades but not really perceptibly; again all or nothing.

Hope the back gets better. Re the paint, it doesn't look that bad imo. I might be tempted to try a touch up guy.

Hope the back eases off soon 😟
On the subject of the smart repair - I used ChipsAway on the bumper of my black Skoda Octavia VRS and was really pleased with the results - you can't tell anything happened to it. I had reversed into a plastic crate in my garage and cracked the bumper. I lived with it for a couple of years but it made me sad each time I looked at it. In the end it cost under £200 to have done and I got a discount through my AA membership.
I took it to them and I think that got a better result because it was in a workshop as opposed to on the drive - which I didn't even have at the time!
My Mum scratched her VW Up and had ChipsAway come out to her. The repair is ok but not perfect.
So perhaps if you could take and leave your truck you may get the best results. It would be interesting to hear others experiences.
Whatever you decide the truck looks awesome 😎

Agreed on both the way the paint is cast, amd certainly that they do respond badly to incessant sunshine. Lucky we have more clouds here. Hope the back gets better. My friend Nic, who runs a Turkish tour company and is not averse to Turkish retros...... Has obviously been hit hard by COVID-19 closing his shop. So in the mean time, he and his wife started to volunteer in Greenhill Gardens in Weymouth where they live. They go to Portland Sculpture and Quarry Trust, which is where the srone for St Pauls Cathedral in London, came from. Anyway, he was given a beginners piece to create and carve, sculpt, not sure what you call this work. Meanwhile, his wife, Sally was allowed to continue with this, maybe she is the more artistic of them. Progress, starting to look like a Budha. And Nic’s spider progressing more steadily. And a bit of a personal piece. In other news, yesterday morning it was rather chilly here...... Frost. And a pic, pulled off Facebook. Now this would float my boat, as an ultimate vision for the truck. Just need to find a complete, intact Extreme bodykit to fit, and a power hood or whatever it may be called. Guess that did not take long ehhhhh. Anyone got any leads on a full bodykit? Here in the UK preferably.

I'm not normally a fan of body kits, but that looks pretty smart to me!

That type of bonnet is a "cowl induction hood" grizz Usually available in many different heights too! And allows for cold air to get in to the massive 4 barrel carbs on most of the drag racing stuff that has them

I'm not normally a fan of body kits, but that looks pretty smart to me! The guy I bought my Clear front indicator lenses from actually has a truck, fitted with the same kit, look back to where I may have posted a pic of the blue and white truck....... That would be a no to me. However, this somehow worked for me and made me want one to fit to my truck. Turns out the truck above, actually had a combination of two different manufacturers’ kit fitted, creating a look I actually wanted.

So, as a follow on, on the body kit posted yesterday, another one, Remember, taste differs and we are all entitled to our interpretations and applications Some randomness........ Yup, I know. WTF? But hey..... someone had the balls, the vision, the cash. Kids bed in the bed. Yesterday a redelivery by Royal Mail. All the way from Texas, thanks Brelen. Yup..... Lug nut caps. I need to get the Anthracite paint, and redo the centre caps, then add them to the truck. Also need to check the wheel nuts as I have now done about 100miles on the new wheels and ryres. .

I've never seen that kit. I've seen barried attempts at it though. Usually with a massive cowl induction hood, in wobbly unpainted fiberglass, wide arches, stock height suspension and the factory wheels with small tires.
It is... not a good look

I have to say, I’m not a fan of bodykits. Aside from the questionable aesthetics of most of them, they’re usually just mud traps and corrosion promoters.
However, It’s not my call. 🤣🤣

I'm glad you have some correct Nut Covers now Rian spray them with some Adhesion Promoter before you paint them with any colour.
