I purchased this early this year as I wanted a retro but reliable daily. I spent the first week doing a whole bunch of changes and upgrades too it, and since then it has been awesome! I changed the car from a BMW gearbox to a Lexus gearbox so improve the gear ratios, ad fitted a new proper clutch and custom prop etc at the same time. I retrofitted s13 coilovers, converting the rear to 'true coilover' at the same time to massively improve the handling.
The car works flawlessly and has always run well. I have done easily 10k miles in it this year without problem, including driving to Driftland for two days drifting and driving to the south of France.
The car has only done two track days, so has no drift damage, nor has it been crashed. The underside is free of rust and has original underseal as far as I can tell. Bodywork is pretty good, but one of the front wings has some primer on the arch and it split a little from rolling the arch.
I have modified this car so that it is extremely reliable and can withstand all the abuse of the V8 and track days/drifting. I put a lot of thought into the diff and halfshaft setup to ensure it was over-engineered and as strong as possible so that theres no risk of snapping shafts when launching/clutch kicking etc. Heavy duty clutch for the same reason.
I have done several oil changes of engine/gearbox and diff to ensure everything was in good order. No fluid leaks. Never gets too hot, even when drifting.
The car is great fun to drive; extremely rev happy and loads of power for the weight of the car. Will happy drift any corner in 3rd/4th gear in the dry without breaking a sweat.
